It has the feeling that you went up close to it with your camera on 100 FieldOfView
Trick to getting good flat images is setting FOV to something really low and backing away

If you set your camera’s FOV to 100, then you place the camera far away from the object that it is focusing on, it will begin to take on an isometric look (3 dimensional objects take on a 2 domensional look).

I just used the 3d mode on the ban hammer in the catalog lol

Yeah you probably used a technique I use - you placed the object on a ‘green screen’ brick, took a picture of it then made the ‘green screen’ transparent, leaving you with a PNG of the object.

Ah.
Here should be a nice, flat view of the hammer, straight from Blender in Ortho view! Should be perfect for getting rid of that odd depth which was mentioned.
