Banned user keep rejoining to the community

There are many users in Secret Staycation community who sends spam messages.
Even after banning them, they repeatedly rejoin using the same accounts.

Additionally, I noticed that these users do not appear in the ban list, and Audit Log.

Expected behavior

After I ban the users who are spamming, they won’t be able to rejoin the community, and appear in the banned list.

A private message is associated with this bug report

Are they using alternative accounts to evade the bans? Not sure what’s happening here. I doubt they would just disappear from the ban list once banned.

Hello!
I’m not sure if they are using multiple alt accounts to send spam messages.
The problem I’m having is that even I ban a user, they join again with the same account.

Are you sure you’re not pressing “Kick”? Again, really weird that banned users can just rejoin a community :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’m sure I ban them multiple times.
They join back every time and sends spam messages to the community.

Thanks for the report! I believe I know the issue and I am working on a fix. The core issue is that the ban is failing.

Hello, this should now be resolved. Previously, there was a limitation where members needed to be in the community before they could be banned; this limitation was lifted, so the ban button next to their posts should now work.

Thank you very much for the prompt fix!
This really helps as I had to frequently check the community to delete the spam messages.
