Ban/Warning message not showing content with a deleted bio

Hello, i discovered that when a bio gets moderated through contacting Roblox Support in the ban message it doesn’t show the moderated content and the bio gets completely removed.

Expected Behavior
Ban/Warning message showing the moderated bio and the bio changing to “[ Content Deleted ]”

I have noticed this as well, the moderation screen is no longer showing what you were actually moderated for, you have to find out yourself nowadays.

I also noticed when sometimes the bio gets moderated

The bio sometimes changes to nothing and not even “[ Content Deleted ]” after you get moderated

That is a problem because Roblox doesn’t display the content you got moderated for.

maybe when they woke up at 2020 and decided to change [ Content Deleted ] users to roblox_users_ they might have deleted the piece that moderates the bio??

not sure thought but i have heard of this bug

1- This is a new bug

2- roblox_users_ started appearing in 2022

i would prove u wrong but the image fails

That’s normal. Someone likely sent a DSA report for the account you checked, and the moderators there have many options for taking action. One of those options is to directly remove the text, which they may have chosen to do in your case.

I think it might be wrong to consider this a bug because when a report is submitted within the platform, if there is content that likely violates the rules, the system automatically replaces that specific text with ‘[ Content Deleted ]’ when they want to take direct action, and an automatic action screen is generated for you.

However, when you report content through Roblox Support (or via the DSA panel), I find it reasonable to assume that they don’t have the same automatic systems as the in-platform reports. For the content I reported through the DSA Report Panel, the moderators chose very different moderation actions.

I’ll provide a few examples below to prove how moderators approached things differently even when the situation was the same.

Regarding your bio situation, I’ve noticed that sometimes they completely remove it. If they can make such mistakes even with group names and change texts this way, it’s quite possible they do the same for bios.

These should be considered as mistakes or habits of moderators who are under a heavy workload, and the issue needs to be resolved by explaining it to the support agents.

I’m not sure what kind of solution Roblox will come up with, but it’s definitely true that certain things change when they step outside of in-platform reports, and unfortunately, each moderator can proceed in their own format. From replacing text to spelling mistakes, using incorrect moderation notes, or even completely removing the text, there are many different errors.

Also, I’ve experienced firsthand that DSA reports, or reports made through Roblox Support have a very high level of accuracy. In other words, their margin of error is minimal, and under these circumstances, I don’t think it really makes a difference whether they display the ban reason or not, because those individuals have definitely violated the rules, and do they really need an explanation?

Let me start with a common mistake they make. They change the group name to ‘[Content Deleted 12345]’ instead of ‘[ Content Deleted 12345 ]’.
Screenshot showing that the group was reported through the DSA Report Panel:

Example of a group from the screenshot above: [Content Deleted 34466695] - Roblox

The second most common thing I’ve seen is that they change group names to ‘[content deleted(12345)]’.

Another method they use is replacing it as ‘Content_Deleted_12345’.

This isn’t a group name, but they replaced the group’s description with ‘Content_Deleted’ because it was inappropriate. I didn’t even know they could do that and thought it would just be replaced with ‘[ Content Deleted ]’. So does this mean they can write whatever they want if they choose to?

I’ve also witnessed them writing ‘[Conten Deleted 34286236]’ when deleting a group name. They don’t even bother spelling correctly anymore. Conten?

I need an explanation and this wasn’t a bio.

Maybe @Focia19 can clarify this?

If you’ve contacted Roblox Support, what did they say?

I didn’t contact Roblox Support, the person who reported me contacted Roblox Support.

No, I meant if you contacted for an appeal, what did they say?

The first time was a day one ban, i got unbanned and they didn’t say anything.
The second time it was a warning.

If this is a bug… There’s a long history of Roblox not showing the actual content that’s being moderated going back years.

Atleast they gave the asset ID and the reason

Yeah, but it’s really the case.

If someone sends a DMCA for an item in your group and the account that uploaded it is different from the owner’s account, they usually focus on the upload account for the DMCA. However, in some rare cases, they might also ban the owner. This can be confusing for groups with many uploaders because any uploader might have violated copyright, and you might face action even if you had no idea about it. However, they consider you to be operating the group and view it as valid from the moderators’ perspective. In this situation, they never specify the content ID in the ban reason because they might think that since you didn’t create the content, if you appeal, you might get away with it. I have no idea.

For example, if you report an item in the group using a DSA report, they usually take action against the group’s owner, not the uploader. The upload account might also face action because the item was deleted. Technically, they don’t specify content for the owner when action is taken, but you know that an item in the group violated the rules, and since you’re the owner, it’s your responsibility.
