Basement Punk Club in need of Ideas

I’ve been working on a map extension for my game and I’ve got no idea what else to add in this room. I need to fix the lighting but besides that the room overall is pretty boring

Heres what it looks like so far

I feel like it’s missing something and I can’t figure out what. Any ideas as to what I should add? For reference this is a punk-ish themed basement across the street from the record store in my game

I think this looks a bit better. Thoughts?

Maybe add something to the Bar Area since it looks empty.

Cant really tell if the pipes are metal or not? but if they aint maybe make them metal. and for the color of the pipes make them a little darker, and personally im not fan of the lighting but the building style good for starters. only thing i suggest is turning the lighting to future instead of shadow. Great job tho!

This Basement Punk Club looks good! You should add more wall decorations, ceiling lights and fans, more chairs and tables, and more couches/sofas.

I want to make the lighting future eventually but when I change it over it’s super dark in certain points in the map. I’d have to sit down for a good hour just working on fixing all the lighting so people can see. Good god I suck at lighting. Any tips to improve? All this time building I’ve never really been able to figure out how to make lighting look good

And yes the pipes are metal, making them darker is probably a good idea

Definitely gonna be adding more lighting fixtures!! The negative space between the ceiling and the furniture just looks so sad and lonely :sob: The door that’s blocked off in the photo is gonna have a lot more seating and whatnot, I’m just not sure exactly how to lay it out yet so I’m saving it for a future update when I’ve got some sort of idea for it. I don’t have access to the file right now, but I do have a sketch of how things are intended to be laid out

Do you think adding pillows to the couches would be a good idea? I feel like it needs to be a bit messier for a PUNK club of all things, but I’ve got absolutely no idea how to go about that

Hmm it depends what you going for in type of lighting night/daytime? especially if you plan having a outside, but if it just inside only you can do, not sure if this would work. but future, and increase the exposurecompensation, in the lighting properties. that should make it brighter with future lighting or you can use shadowmap if it aint set as that already

the basement I’m working on is an extension of my game already, which has a record store and a street you can walk down where both these areas are, it’s rainy so it’s kinda grey but it’s still daytime

Yea, my opinion is maybe don’t use future lighting if you have a open map with lights, everywhere and parts, Roblox havent really made future good performance for low end devices yet so players gonna lag like crazy with that on. future is basically just for indoors to give it that realistic look, it can be use for outside aswell but at the moment it’s very laggy! unless you actually know how to perfomance the game with it on. which could take hours, or a day, depending on how much stuff you have in that map. only thing i can suggest is shadow map, and maybe just messing around with the lighting properties. but for tips on how to make it easy for you next time use folders, for all the lights you have in the map and other folders for whatever else you have in the map, so you can easily change the pointlights, without taking hours to change it when its already in a folder with the name lights.

yeah I seriously need to get in the habit of organizing my workspace. Having a spot for all the lights is smart, I’ll definitely have to start utilizing that
