Basic Obby Game

Very basic obby i have been working on for maybe 3+ years since starting developing. It’s more of a hobby thing so updates rarely happen but i want to get some feedback of it

My current focus was to revamp many stages, levels and the complete UI because most of it is from very early stages in development. The game is basically like a normal obby but designed to work on a first person perspective instead of the normal third person (Had to make the first stages really easy because many people didn’t figure out how it worked). The game overall was made a few years ago so i have alot to change since then

Would be nice to get some basic feedback regarding the game and what to improve!

Overall based on design, how good is it for a basic obby?

Well, it’s just mega fun obby with 1st person. Nothing much to say here.
I guess you could make beating stages more visually stimulating.
Could also work on the building. The stage checkpoints (and even some stages themselves) aren’t centered.

I mean it’s alright. It’s not something I would really be playing for hours though, the first person gimmick isn’t that enticing. I get that your trying to stand out from other obbies, but the obby being in first person doesn’t make it more fun, it just kinda makes it constrained. I feel like I have to look at this little field of view.

I mean practically all obbies are played in third person, and imagine playing a basic JTOH tower on first person. It would be much harder because you have no idea what’s going to happen next, and now your forced to make the obby very easy.

At least I know you have built this obby yourself (i think), instead of just slapping an easy obby from the toolbox.

I definitely agree with what @Bubblegumboy29 says too, it’s not exciting. Just a big obby in first person.

I’m imagining that this game is targeted toward a young audience (i mean who else would play these games), and compared to older audiences. Younger audiences tend to play more on mobile devices, but it’s hard imagining a first-person obby being played on mobile. It’s just not that exciting.

Good luck with your game though. :hidere:
