I’m dabbling into making music for an RPG game I’m currently trying to create. This is a battle loop that I made for more serious/climactic fights, like an end-of-chapter boss battle.
I’m using Soundtrap, and this is the first time I’ve ever tried making music, so I’d really appreciate your feedback!
sound pretty good, 7/10. main issue rn is that you need to have a seamless/not noticeable loop
Sounds good for your first time. [My first songs we’re dogwater]
Learn EQ and sound selection, it makes a good difference.

I used FL Studio cuz thats what i saw everywhere, tho ima tryy to use soundtrap after seeing ts
I don’t have much experience with composing, but I do have experience with playing music, so I can give some advice. I recommend that you try to make a simple melody first and then try to expand on it. People would rather listen to a song that’s simple and pleasing to the ears than a complicated melody they can’t make sense of.
Also, make sure you’re following a time signature so the listener can follow along to the beat. I like what you’re doing with the slowing down and speeding up, but it makes it difficult to follow along with the song.
Keep at it, there’s no better way to get better than to practice! I believe in you!
In this piece’s current form, from a very avant-garde standpoint, it fulfills its job! It is very dissonant and doesn’t follow any sort of chord function, it sort of just does what it wants to do harmonically and musically.
However, if you are aiming for tonality, this misses the goal. My only suggestion in that case would be to look up chord functions and chord structure to help enhance the musical structure so it has more of a solid foundation to it.
