Hello, welcome to this Battle of the Builders Information Press Release. We have quite a bit of information we would like to show off about the game.
Note: We recommend watching the trailer before proceeding with this post to get an idea of what the game is about:
When will the game release?
The game will release September 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM MST. Please know, this is subject to be pushed back by a couple of hours due to a cross country meet that the CEO has that day. If for any reason he cannot make that day at all, it will be pushed to September 17, 2023 at 8:00 AM MST.
The game’s engine is done, and is just being beta tested to make sure there are no issues. We will add content such as characters, blocks, and categories and more up until release. We will talk more about what these are later in the post.
How often will the game update?
Battle of the Builders will be using a versioning scale with 2 points and a letter if needed. [Eg: v1.4.4 (a)]
Here is what each one means:
First point: Major update
v1.4.4 (a)
This is indicating a big release to Battle of the Builders, such as a huge overhaul or a ton of content. These are not very common, and usually come every 1-2 years.
Second point: Feature update
v1.4.4 (a)
This is indicating the release of a new feature, such as a new game mode or a new feature. These get extensively beta tested by testers until they are 100% smooth. We plan to have these out every month.
Third point: Content update
v1.4.4 (a)
This is indicating the release of new content, such as characters, blocks, and categories. We plan to have these out every week. The day of the week is currently not set. The game’s engine is set up to be able to push out a lot of content rapidly.
Suffix: Bug fixes / security update
v1.4.4 (a)
If for any reason there is a major bug or security vulnerability; such as an exploit, we will release a ‘suffix’ update. This will usually only contain bug fixes and minor improvements.
This update system will last for a few months unless the game does not become successful.
What will the shop game contain?
The shop functions identically to Bloxy Kart with a couple of new features.
In the initial version, you will be able to purchase Characters, Blocks, and Passes.
Character shop
In the screenshot below, you will right off the bat see characters from Bloxy Kart. Don’t worry, there are new people incoming, such as Baked Bacon!
Now what does this ‘i’ button do?
This ‘i’ button shows more information about a character! You will see their name, a quote/description, their zodiac sign, birthday, and price.
This is not all, we have one more thing with characters we would like to show you!
Introducing Skins!
Skins are a new way to get a character with a new coat of paint!
Skins for characters based off of Roblox players will be their old avatars as far back as we have in our servers.
Don’t worry! Characters not based off avatars will have skins too, however we are still making alterations of existing AND new characters right now.
In the inventory section if you own a skin, you will be prompted to equip a skin.
Fun fact: This is a scrapped feature from Bloxy Kart that was not 100% ready yet. It has been in the files since v4.0.
And just like in Bloxy Kart, you will be able to use your Roblox avatar by default.
Blocks
You will be able to buy blocks for your builds similar to how you can purchase characters. Of course, there will be blocks available and ready to go from the start!
Even though you can use an infinite number of blocks, we have made a convenient way to get started on your build as soon as possible
Preloading Blocks
You will be able to preload every single block into your hotbar to get an early head start over everyone else. Please know, you will never know the category until everyone casted their vote.
Passes
At launch, there will be 1 pass to purchase to get full control of colors.
This pass will allow you to change the colors of blocks along with the baseplate.
It gives you extremely fine control over what color an item is, to the point you can control its RGB. Although, if you do not know what RGB is, you can always use our pre-selected colors.
This has had a lot of research put into it, and we determined it is not required to win a game. It will launch at 100 robux!

We will add more passes in the future, but we want to make sure they do not give a huge advantage in winning. As we said earlier, Color Control is not going to give any advantage at all.
How do matches work?
When you select and choose to play a game, you get teleported to a matchmaking elevator. Here, you will wait until you either have 8 players, or had 2 players for more than 20 seconds. We have these set up to fill as full as possible.
Now you may be asking, how do you play with your friends? Good question, we thought of that too! Party Mode is an easy way to get anyone in your lobby into the same game.
All you got to do is create a party name, then wait for your friends to join it.
(UI Issues seen here will be fixed before release)
The host will be able to click “start” whenever the party is ready.
If you have 2-7 players, you will be teleported to the elevator to hopefully get 1 more person in, and if you have 8 players, you will be teleported directly to the match!
Weekend Bonus
Battle of the Builders will have an opportunity to have extra rewards. However, instead of just being able to get it right away, you have to qualify for a couple of requirements.
Let’s first start out how it works.
You may have noticed that you are able to view a character’s zodiac sign and initially thought it was useless. Well it has a point in existing…
Each weekend, there will be a zodiac sign chosen for weekend rewards. To use it, you must have the character equipped. Don’t worry, it is not just 1 character, it will be any character with that zodiac sign. The first weekend will not have weekend rewards, but the following weekend will. On September 23, you will need to have a character with Libra equipped to quality for the bonus. The first weekend after a zodiac sun sign shift or if the weekend during one, it will be that new one. (Example: October 28 will require a Scorpio to qualify for the bonus) On weekends where there is not a shift, I will ask ChatGPT to give me a random zodiac sign and it will be that one for that weekend.
Social Media
We will have a Discord Server created for the game September 9. We may make an X or Threads/Instagram profile, but we are not 100% sure. The YouTube channel will be the current WilliGames one that has the trailer.
Obtaining placeable objects:
When you press E or press the 3 dots, this menu will come up.
Each category will be presented and you will be able to choose one. We will also have a search for an easy way to get every object you would want to place.
