Hello, I am making a game that is heavily inspired by the Darwin Project. I need some testers to make sure everything is smooth and responsive so far, as I recently swapped to a finite state machine approach to handling inputs.
You should definitely take a look at the QA Testers of Robloxia for this!
Thanks, I definitely will!
Is there any specified way to get in touch with them and request Quality Assurance tests? I couldn’t find anything on their group page about requesting tests.
Great mechanics and physics to the game. I love the gathering system, but the rotation of the camera when I quickly look around seems a bit off. You can’t respawn either(?)
I’m working on the respawn; It will be fixed soon!
For the camera, can you describe what feels off about it?
Does the character turn too slowly with the camera? Is it too sensitive? I need to know what exactly is wrong with it in order to fix it.
Thanks for testing it out!
No problem! The character feels out of place when I look around at a fast pace. I’m not sure how I could explain it but you have a great shoulder lock view.
Ok I will try fiddling with some settings and see if that makes it smoother to move the camera around quickly.
Thanks again!
That’s alright, I think if you go with what works and looks right, it’ll turn out fine
Whatever you do don’t smooth the camera too much, that’ll have a much worse effect
Right, there’s nothing worse than having to right-click drag your mouse three times to look behind you lol
Too much interpolation causes motion sickness too
Yeah
You’re able to shoot arrows when you’re dead.
Forgot about that one, I remember doing it in the screenshot above but forgot to report it
I got stuck here while hanging around in the lobby:
I tried to get out but waiting for platform stand to be over and jumping did not really help.
That isn’t my game haha
Oops, turns out it is another WIP battle royale game
Why am I harvesting hide from a chair out in the wild
Ok, I have updated the Finite State Machine to be less buggy, and a lot smoother!
Give it a try!
