Beginner scripter - any good tutorials out there?

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
    i want to learn how to code in luau for my roblox games. i am a BEGINNER BEGINNER. i know probably the bare minimum for coding.
  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
    i.. don’t know how to code.
  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Creator Hub?
    i tried a tutorial.. but that only has 2 episodes and is pretty boring and outdated.

its been so long so i dont really have any good tutorials, but what i did was i just watched basically any tutorial for something for a game that was absolutely terrible in the end, and eventually i started learning how it worked.

not much, but just how i learned

To be honest Luau is one of the easiest game engine I’ve ever tried (UE 4 is the second one). I teached everything by myself and sometimes watched some youtube tutorials (I have bad english so it’s really helpful sometimes). Reading Roblox’s engine documentry is a way to teach how to code too.

My honest opinion, that you should teach everything by yourself and experiment with basic functions and watch what they doing.

BrawlDev is who I was gonna recommend. He makes easy follow tutorials and explains things step-by-step. He has a playlist here

If you are really beginner, understanding codes in this tutorial is necessary for you.

Yeah he has a little thing you have to do at the end of each video thats usually fun. Also, controversial opinion but I do like roblox coding books, and I do find them fun, although they are expensive

Don’t start with luau, start with a better language than luau. Luau is a very unique programming language, learn something more broad like Python, JavaScript, etc…
