Beginner's Tutorial for Roblox website

The Problem

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to gather support and income from players because most of them don’t know some very basic but important website features. Roblox is an amazing but complicated platform, filled with amazing resources that are not being fully accessed by most players. I have met hundreds, if not, thousands, of players who do not know simple things such as avatar changes, what groups are, how to trade, or even the concept or robux/ roblox premium. This may not seem like such a huge issue to developers at first glance, however, it’s pretty big. Groups, robux, and premium are all services that developers use for income.

What needs to change?

I think it’s simple… We really just need a way for users to learn about the platform, and solve the issue of basic features that make roblox GREAT are being unused.

My proposed solution would be a beginner user tutorial, showing new players how to play, how to edit their avatar, what a group is, and (almost) all features of the website. It would bring in new developers in the community to help me and many other developers to diversify development teams. It would make smaller, ignored, but amazing games be noticed, and bring to light different features like groups which have been neglected for a long time.

This tutorial, however it is devised, shouldn’t just be about developing. It should be the first thing that a player sees before continuing on with their time on Roblox, teaching them the features so they don’t spend months stumbling around the website trying to make sense of it all. Features such as groups, avatars, gameplay, what studio is (not how to develop), are all pretty important. We should SHOW them to the community as soon as they join.

Conclusion

If this issue is addressed, it would improve my development experience because it would open up my games (and other developers’) to a new group of players who are learned in the simple features of Roblox . This could bring in income, and popularity to my games and games across roblox.

Not only this, but a simple tutorial is just a way of the Roblox corporation showing they care about their customers, and making a less confusing path towards development available.

Whoever wants to comment on this idea and improve upon it can do so, my ideas are never perfect… I am sure I and the ROBLOX (staff) community would love input on this.
