Belmond Resort & Spa - Barista Handbook
This guide contains information for all baristas on how to successfully execute their job. It contains recipes for the Bistro, and different information about how to serve a customer. If you have any questions about the information below, don’t hesitate to ask a corporate or executive level staff member!
STEP 1- Getting started with a customer:
STo start serving a customer, head to the front counter of the bistro and stand behind a cash register. State your greeting when a customer stands near your cash register. A greeting may be anything like “Hello, and welcome to Belmond Bistro! My name is NAME, and I will be your server for today. What can I get you?”
STEP 2 - Preparing an order:
Once they have stated their order, you must prepare it for them. An order may NOT be more than 4 items. To prepare an item, walk into the kitchen, and use the following recipes to prepare each item…

Iced White Chocolate Mocha: Cup + White Chocolate Sauce + Coffee + Milk + Cream + Ice
Iced Coffee: Cup + Coffee + Ice + Milk (+Optional Sugar)
Soda: Cup + Ice + Soda Type (Ginger ale, Coca-Cola, Root Beer, Sprite, Fanta, Mello Yello, Crush, Mountain Dew, Pepsi, or 7Up)
Iced Latte: Cup + Espresso + Milk + Dark Chocolate Syrup + Ice
Cold Frappuccino: Cup + Ice + Milk + Coffee + Frappuccino Mix + Flavoring (Vanilla, Chocolate)
Iced Tea: Cup + Ice + Water + Flavoring (Passion fruit flavoring, mango flavoring, black tea, green tea)
Milk: Cup + Milk
Lemonade: Cup + Lemon Concentrate + Sugar + Water + Ice
Smoothie: Cup + Milk + Ice + Flavor (OPTIONS: Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango, Banana, Kale) + Blender
Milkshake: Cup + Sugar + Milk + Ice Cream (FLAVORS: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate Chip) + Blender

Coffee: Cup + Coffee + Milk
Frappuccino: Cup + Milk + Coffee + Frappuccino Mix + Flavoring (Vanilla, Chocolate)
White Chocolate Mocha: Cup + White Chocolate Sauce + Coffee + Milk + Cream
Latte: Cup + Espresso + Milk + Dark Chocolate Syrup
Frappuccino: Cup + Milk + Coffee + Frappuccino Mix + Flavoring (Vanilla, White Chocolate, Chocolate or Mocha)
Tea: Cup + Hot Water + Flavoring (Passion fruit flavoring, mango flavoring, black tea, green tea)
Cappuccino: Cup + Espresso + Milk + Foam
Macchiato: Cup + Vanilla Flavoring + Espresso + Caramel Sauce
Hot Chocolate: Cup + Milk + Cocoa Powder + Sugar
Caffe Mocha: Cup + Dark Chocolate Syrup + Coffee + Vanilla Flavoring + Milk + Whipped Cream
