Belmond Resort & Spa - Training Program Guide
Hello there! This guidebook includes all information, rules, and procedures to successfully host, train, or help in a training session.
General Rules
General rules for leading a session:
- The host must be the rank “General Manager” or above.
- You must have three trainers, each the rank “Subsidiary Manager” or above.
- You must have at least a single helper, the rank “Duty Manager” or above.
- You can only use this guide. Don’t add anything on.
Explanation
The guide is divided into three parts:
Host Guide
STEP 1 | Announcing your session
To make your session official, you must do the following:
Go to our DISCORD SERVER by going to this link and scrolling down to social links, and clicking “Join our Communications Server!”. Then, once you are there, click on the channel “#session-booking” in the staff section, and follow the format to post your template.
If you cannot access Discord, you cannot host a session.
THEN ONCE YOUR SESSION IS BOOKED: Announce your session on Discord in #session-notifications with the following format:
** TRAINING SESSION **
A session is being hosted by [HOST] at [TIME IN EST]! Trainees, head on down to the training center for a promotion!

Announce your session on the group wall with the following format:

You must announce your session at least a half hour before it starts.
Step 2 | Setting Up Your Session
Join the training game and stand on the host’s stage.
As staff join, do the following:
- Name the first three staff who are subsidiary managers “Concierge Trainer”, “Greeting Trainer”, and “Barista Trainer”. TELL THEM TO JOIN THE TRAINER TEAM.
- After that, name everyone else who joins either “Concierge Helper”, “Greeting Helper”, or “Barista Helper”.
As trainees join, tell them to stand on the line while waiting. Those who do not, ban them using “:ban”.
If the rank “Barista” through “Concierge” join, “:ban” them from the game.
Once it is the time to start your session (as chosen in the first step), move on to the next step.
STEP 3 | Slocking your session
Once it is time to start your session, do the following. You may not start without the amount of staff stated in the session rules:
Use the following command:
:slock
Then, kick all the trainees who are not on their lines, and bring all standing staff to their lines. After you are done with this, move on to the next step.
STEP 4 | Starting your session
Say the following, line by line:
:sm Hello, and welcome to Belmond’s training program! My name is [NAME],and I will be your host for today. It is a pleasure to lead you while you learn.
:sm The objective of today’s session is to show you how to do your job.
:sm Before we jump right into trainings, let’s go over some basic rules and information.
:sm RULES -
:sm First off, listen to everything your trainer says. Not doing so will result in you being kicked from the server.
:sm Along with this, just be respectful to everyone around you. Use common sense when it comes to speaking with others.
:sm Don’t leave the server before being kicked from it. When we rank you, it takes a little while. If you leave, your chance at a promotion is voided and you can’t get promoted until the next session.
:sm You must use grammar and be professional at all times, not doing so will result in you failing. You must follow all staff guide rules, and our terms of service.
:sm INFORMATION -
:sm So our training program is basically this…
:sm You get teleported to your training area. Your trainer tells you what to do. It’s that simple, but very informative.
:sm You CAN fail this session, by not listening to the trainer. We use a complicated point system, but you don’t need to worry about that.
Once you are done saying these things, move on to the next step.
Step 5 | Starting The Session
Continue on to say:
:h Trainers, to your stations.
:sm You chose which job you wanted to train for when you joined the game. If you want to switch this, say "JOIN TEAM: “job name” right now and we will change that.
:countdown 40
(LOOK AT CHATLOGS AND SEE WHO WANTS THEIR TEAMS CHANGED. WHOEVER DOES, SAY “:team [PLAYER] [TEAM]”… In the [TEAM] slot, put “A” if they want to join Greeting, “B” if they want to join Barista, and “C” if they want to join Concierge.)
Once the countdown is over, move on to this step:
:sm The training will now start! Please wait while trainers teleport you to your areas.
Once you have said all this, move on to the next step.
Step 6 | Ranking
You may view different groups as they train until this happens;
If a trainer PMs you saying their group is done, TP to that trainer.
Go to each trainee in that trainer’s group and look over their heads. If they are named less than three points, kick them from the server saying that they failed in a respectful tone.
Then, go through the remaining trainees and check their chatlogs. If any of them have more than 5 grammar mistakes, kick them from the server saying that they failed in a respectful tone.
Finally, rank the remaining trainees in that group corresponding to the training space they are in. Then, kick them from the server saying that they passed.
Once all trainees in the server have been kicked, move on to the next step.
STEP 7 | Finishing your session
Once all trainees have been ranked and kicked, say the following:

Training Guide
STEP 1 | Waiting for start
You are only a trainer if the host named you “Barista Trainer”, “Concierge Trainer”, or “Greeting Trainer”.
If you are named one of these, USE THE “CHANGE JOB” BUTTON TO CHANGE TO THE TRAINER POSITION. Also, stay on your line in the staff stage. Wait for the host to begin. While waiting, if a trainee asks for help, go help them. After helping them, go back to your seat.
STEP 2 | Teleporting to your station
The host will slock the server and go through rules. When it is indicated that you should go to your training station, do the following:
Click the “teleport” button in the bottom left corner of your screen, and click on the training area you are supposed to be in.

Concierge Training Guide

Hi there! Today I will be teaching you about what it takes to be a concierge, and your job here. First, we will learn about greeting people.
Someone will walk up to your desk, and you must reply with a greeting.
A greeting can be something like “Hi there, welcome to Belmond Resort & Spa! My name is NAME, how can I help you today?”.
Please state your greeting now, and we will rate it on whether or not that it passes.
Look over each trainee’s greeting. If it is acceptable, say:
:change [PLAYER’S USERNAME] points 1
If it wasn’t okay, don’t do anything.
Now, we will teach you about the main part of your job - checking people in and out.
Right now, I want you to click on the screen of a computer.
Here is how they work:
To check someone in, click the “Check In” on the home screen, type in the guest’s username, and then say:
“What type of room would you like?”
Once they give you an answer, select that room type, and click “Confirm”.
To check someone out, click “Check Out” on the home screen, type in the guest’s username, and then click “Confirm”.
After you are done checking someone in, say, “Enjoy your stay, if you have any questions, just come to the front desk and ask!”
After you check someone out, say “Thank you for choosing Belmond, come again soon!”.
Or, say something like that.
We will now come around and ask you to check us in and out. Please check us into our wanted room, and then out!
Helpers may now start!
Helpers should go test trainees. Any leftover untested trainees, you should do the following:
Go to each untested trainee and ask for them to check you in. They should state a good greeting,
check you in, and tell you to enjoy your stay.
Then, walk away, come back, and ask them to check you out. They should give you a greeting,
check you out, and tell you to come again soon.
If they do all of the things above, say this:
:change [PLAYER’S USERNAME] points [THEIR CURRENT POINTS VALUE PLUS 1]
If they didn’t do all of the things above, don’t add anything to their point value.
After all trainees have been tested by you or a helper, continue with the script:
Since we are done with that, let’s move on to the next section, responding to questions.
If a customer walks up to your desk, you should greet them. If they ask you a question, you need to respond to it truthfully.
Just to check that you can, we will go around and ask III questions about the resort.
Please greet us, answer them, and once we are done, tell us to enjoy our stay.
Helpers may now start!
After you finish the script, helpers should go test the trainees. If there are any leftover untested trainees, do the following:
Go to each untested trainee and wait for them to greet you. Afterwards, ask them three EASY
questions about the resort. They should answer them correctly. Afterwards, tell them that’s all the
questions you have. They should tell you to enjoy your stay.
If the trainee does all the things above, say:
:change [PLAYER’S USERNAME] points [THEIR CURRENT POINTS VALUE PLUS 1]
If they didn’t do everything above, don’t change their point value.
After all trainees have been tested by you or a helper, continue with the script:
Now that we are done with that part of training, we will move on to the final part; trolling.
There are some people who purposely don’t follow the rules at Belmond. They are called trollers. Here is how you deal with them:
We have a guide on how to handle trollers, but not all of you have access to that. If you don’t, this is how you deal with a troller:
First, you must learn how to warn someone. Warn someone using the format: “Warning Number | Reason”.
If someone was trolling about wanting a rat, and it was their III warning; you would say “Warning III | Trolling”.
Since lower ranks DO NOT have admin, after someone reaches III warnings, please call a duty manager+ to kick them.
After they reach II kicks, ask a “General Manager+” to p-ban them.
Exploiters and mass spammers get NO WARNINGS, and are pbanned immediately. If you see one, please let a “general manager+” know so they can p-ban them.
We will now come around and start violating rules. This is a simulation, so do not take personally things that the helpers do. Please warn or report the helpers for breaking rules.
Once a player reached III warnings, you must report them. You have to get a Duty Manager+ to deal with the player. For training, to report, say “-Calls MR/HR” in chat.
In a real situation, please use either the group wall or our communications server as your way to get higher-ranked staff to deal with the problem.
Helpers may now go test you!
After you finish the script, helpers should go test the trainees. If there are any leftover untested trainees, do the following:
Go to each untested trainee and wait for them to greet you. Afterwards, troll, caps abuse, fake exploit (without admin), but DO NOT spam. Wait for them to deal with your trolling simulation correctly.
If the trainee does all the things above, say:
:change [PLAYER’S USERNAME] points [THEIR CURRENT POINTS VALUE PLUS 1]
If they didn’t do everything above, don’t change their point value.
After you are done with your script, pm the host saying that your group is finished.
THEN, WAIT FOR THE SESSION TO END.
Greeting Training Guide

Then, tell them to use the teleport GUI to teleport to their room.
In the real resort, the teleport GUI looks like a location icon. If the guest needs help finding it on their screen, help them!
Once the guest is ready to leave, tell them to enjoy their stay, and come back to the podium to greet more guests.
We will now test you on this. When helpers ask you for a room, take them to concierge, and let them get checked in. Once they are checked in, ask them for their room number…
Once you have their room number, tell them “Use the teleport GUI to get there! It’s a button on your screen that looks like a location icon.”
Helpers may now test!
Helpers should go test trainees. Any leftover untested trainees, you should do the following:
- Go to each untested trainee and ask them for a room. They should greet you, bring you to reception.
You should say Checks into room at reception. They should ask you for your room number. Choose a random number 1-16 and say it to them. They should tell you to use the teleport GUI to get there.
If the trainee does all the things above, say:

If they didn’t do everything above, don’t change their point value.
After all trainees have been tested by you or a helper, continue with the script:

SIDE NOTE: If anybody cannot see the guide, PM the host saying this, and the host should transfer them to a new group.
Continuing on… If someone walks up to your computer, greet them, and listen to their food items.
They can order III maximum.
Then, go to the kitchen, prepare their food using the recipes given in the barista guide, and go back to the customer.
Hand them their food using “:handto NAME”. Then, move on to take another customer.
We will now test you on your ability to do this. Please greet our helpers, prepare their food, and give it back to them.
Each order should take II minutes max, we will first ask you for II items.
Helpers may now begin!
Helpers should go test trainees. Any leftover untested trainees, you should do the following:
- Go to each untested trainee and ask TWO ITEMS from them. They should prepare them within II minutes, and hand them to you.If the trainee does all the things above, say

After all trainees have been tested by you or a helper, continue with the script:
We will now ask you to prepare another order. This time, you must prepare III food or drink items…
You must do this within II and a half minutes.

- Go to each untested trainee and ask THREE ITEMS from them. They should prepare them within II minutes, and hand them to you. If the trainee does all the things above, say:

Helper Guide
STEP 1 | Waiting for start
When you join the training game, stand on your line and wait for the session to begin.
Answer trainee’s questions if they say “PTS”, but otherwise wait for the start.
The host should name you either “Barista Helper”, “Greeting Helper”, or “Concierge Helper”. - IF YOU ARE NOT NAMED ONE OF THESE, ASK THE HOST FOR A JOB.
STEP 2 | Going with the right group
Once the host tells all trainees to go to their stations, do the following:
Click the teleport GUI, and then click the training area depending on which group you are supposed to help.
STEP 3 | Helping your group
After you are in the correct place, refer to one of the following guides based off of the place you are at:
Concierge Helper Guide
When you get to the concierge place, stand touching this wall:
Wait for the trainer to ask for trainees to state their greetings, all the while staying on the wall.
After this, the trainer will move onto check in and check out training. Once they finish the script and tells you to begin, do the following:

Go to each untested trainee and ask for them to check you in. They should state a good greeting, check you in, and tell you to enjoy your stay.

When you get to the barista training station, stand touching this wall/windows behind the trainer:
Wait for the trainer to ask for trainees to state their greetings, all the while staying on the wall.
After this, the trainer will move onto food preparation training. Once he finishes his script and tells you to begin, do the following:

Go to each untested trainee and ask TWO ITEMS from them. They should prepare them within II minutes, and hand them to you.

If the trainee does all the things above, say:

- If they didn’t do everything above, don’t change their point value.
After all trainees are done, go back to the wall. The trainer should then move on to the next section, which includes more about food preparation. When the trainer is done with the script and tells you to start, do the following:

Greeting Helper Guide
When you get to the greeting training station, stand on THIS dock:
Wait for the trainer to ask for trainees to state their greetings, all the while staying on the stairs.
After this, the trainer will move onto the main greeter job’s training. Once they finish the script and tell you to begin, do the following:

Go to each untested trainee and ask them for a room. They should greet you, bring you to reception. YOU say Checks into room at reception.

They should ask you for your room number. Choose a random number and say it to them. They should then say something like “Use the teleport GUI to get there!”

If the trainee does all the things above, say:

Go to each untested trainee and wait for them to greet you. Afterwards, troll, caps abuse, fake exploit (without admin), but DO NOT spam. Wait for them to deal with your trolling simulation correctly. (By warning and/or calling an MR/HR depending upon what you do)

If the trainee does all the things above, say:
:change [PLAYER’S USERNAME] points [THEIR CURRENT POINTS VALUE PLUS 1]
- If they didn’t do everything above, don’t change their point value.
After all trainees have been tested by someone, say “:res me”, and wait in the lobby for the session to finish.
