Best way to import Blender-Roblox?

I’ve been using blender for a week or so now, and I want to know the best way to import models fro blender to roblox. Right now, anything I want to have different colors, I make them all seperately, then I import them one-by-one.

This is the sword and the handle, both seperate mesh parts.

Is there a better way to do this? Let me know please.

For importing all the meshes at once without using meshparts :

You can publish the game
Then “view”
Then game explorer
then “meshes”
and import them all at once
then click them both with shift and click “location”

Normal material colors from blender cannot be imported just by exporting it as fbx or obj
You have to bake the materials and it is pretty complex, I would recommend you watching a youtube tutorial or, use image texture which import to roblox most of the times correctly

I’m not sure if this works, but couldn’t you just use the materials in blender and change the colors in there and then import the mesh and the colors should come with it?

Exporting with the .fbx format should keep texture data. Also keep in mind blender scale is not the same as roblox scale.

So let me walk you through UV Unwrapping and editing (at least how I do it.) This is to texture things, and give them different colors like you wanted to do. Make some sort of image of the colors you want on your mesh. This will be the texture you are using. Go into blender (2.8 I’m assuming) on the right there will be a menu of different changes you can add to your mesh. From there you click the bottom one on the menu and if you only see a button, click it. After that you want to find the base color and you have to change it to image texture. Select the mesh you want to texture and at the top click “UV Editing” on the screen on the left, you need to open the image of the colors you want. From there, make sure the mesh is selected, press U on your keyboard and click “Smart Image Project” from the menu then select the parts of the mesh you want to be the same color. Use S to scale it down and G to grab it and bring it over to the color you want. I hope this helps. If you run into any problems tell me. I would also recommend setting the shading to smooth before you import meshes into roblox.
