Hello, I’ve been struggling with this for some years [tryin’ to be builder for some years]
I’ve been working on game called Left behind, it’s a post-apoc story game wich isn’t like other story games, bc it’s singleplayer.
And the game has a huge lag issues. The buildings are too much detailed and if I remove a single part it doesn’t look well. Any idea how to do this? [I don’t have blender]
Use textures.
You can use texture packs to recreate anything without using meshes. (Carpet, tile, hardwood, ect…)
Hopefully this helps.
It needs to be 3D… Otherwise it looks kinda weird and the collision breaks
But thanks.
Blender would be your best option since a mesh will not create as much lag, Using textures to reduce lag, You could hire someone to make you the Mesh how or you should at least try to group as many parts to reduce the lag.
Well, yeah… But I want to try to make the game have as low as possible development teams… Because my game was stolen once and the “owner” is now kinda popular
Hello, @AzimuthBecameReal!
Here is what I do when building. Maybe it will help you out. (:
- Look at real-life pictures of what you want to build, look at every detail. Focus your eyes onto the smallest little things and then copy it onto your build.
- Use texture packs and decals to bring everything to life, include robust colors of all sorts.
- Keep on going and never stop, you will lose motivation which is normal, just don’t stop.
- Ask your friends for advice, find collaborators.
- Try testing out blender for making some of your smaller decorations.
Hope this helped!
Thanks! But my computer barely stands with roblox studio and I’m afraid to use blender because my computer is kinda… Slow…? and it may broke my computer fully
You don’t really need blender, but trying it out wouldn’t hurt. It is used by many top developers.
Okay, I will try… Hope my computer wont explode
My computer was not made for it.
Don’t worry. I have a similar PC to yours, judging by the warning pop-up. And Blender works fine for me. The only “issue” is in rendering, because Blender was basically built for animations and such.
Well, that’s an issue. What even are your specs?(DM me via DevForum if you want to)
Like your computer stuff, (like CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.)
Oh…
My computer is kinda low-end
