Bestiary UI Concept

so i made this small ui concept for my game, it’s supposed to be a bestiary entry that documents info on an entity and some stats. i made this one as some sort of a meme just to demonstrate what it’d look like in the final game, i really like how it looks and i’d like some feedback to see if there’s anything i can improve or if there’s anything you guys would like to see

with that out of the way, here’s the UI i made

time took: ~20 minutes
the program used: Pixlr E
the drawing in the frame was made by me lol

any and all feedback is appreciated unless you’re going to be rude, thank you in advance

I think it looks good. One question, why is the hearing and sight color kinda faded? Also, id suggest giving more space to the additional notes area, just a bit more.

the faded parts of the bar represent how high it can go after some time, it’s to scale difficulty, the solid parts are base stats

also yes, i agree, i need more space in the additional notes, thank you for the feedback

Oh ok, looks pretty good. Another idea that could work is maybe change the color of the card based on the rarity of the creature and remove the rarity bar, that way there is more space for the aditional notes area without making it too cluttered. Keep it up!

oh that’s such a great idea! coloured cards that indicate rarity, that would work really well!
thank you for the great idea and feedback, very much appreciated!

I really like the UI and I think it looks great! A couple of pointers I have are:

  • Maybe put some padding around the description text so it’s not so up against the borders.
  • Instead of having faded out bars to show the max, have the max be scaled to the entire bar. It’s a bit confusing looking at it for the first time.
  • Might be just a nitpick but “ADDITIONAL NOTES” is in all caps while “Hearing” / “Sight” / “Rarity” aren’t.

Other than that it looks amazing!
( p.s i like ur drawing ^w^ )

padding is a good idea, i’ll definitely add some!

yeah, that might be a better idea, i’ll indicate the difference separately, like for example

sight: 30-90

yeah, i am a mess when it comes to capitalisation, i’ll keep that in mind when i make the final UI

thank you for the feedback, very much appreciated!
