Beta Release of Wacky Sword Fighting

Hello! Today, a new game called Wacky Sword Fighting! has been released for beta feedback testing. Just know, the game is pretty primitive and there are things to come. :tongue:

Things arriving in the future: :shock:

  • New swords and shop system
  • More maps
  • Lobby map updates
  • More!

Things currently in the game: :wut:

  • 2 Maps (Grass Hills, Pyramids)
  • Default sword

Again, this is for beta feedback testing, and isn’t a full release, so just know, this isn’t the final version of the project.

Not sure if it’s because I’m on mobile or because there is 0 people in the game but nothing is happening. If you could add a temporary way for the game to start with only 1 player so we could get some insight on what your game is about, that would be great.

Oh sorry for the confusion, but the game wont let you continue if there are less than 2 players in game😓

We can both join and properly test if you want!

(Edit) There is also a 15 second cooldown from when the server starts, and the intermission starts.
(Another Edit) Yes I will enable a temporary 1 player mode.

So is this game just a sword fight?

I played it by myself and couldn’t fight anyone. There’s nothing to do alone.

Unfortunately I cannot test the game with you due to other events I have on and time zones but I can give you some feedback from what I’ve experienced. Firstly your game is called wacky sword fighting but there is nothing that makes it wacky, secondly the environment is lacking in features with nothing interesting or advantageous. I understand that this is heavily inspired by classic roblox but for it to be successful you must intertwine both modern and classic roblox, although I could see this game being something like slap battles but with swords.

Hmm, Okay. I am planning to add more sword types (goofy kind), could you specify what you mean by modern?

( Edit ): What do you mean by modern aspects? Pay to win? Flashy Gui? Modern features like ProximityPrompts and DragDetectors?

Is there anything cool w the swords. Like something original or new? Because I just see classic swords and maps. Try adding some thing cool to them like maybe abilities or extra gears to play with.

Idk the game seems boring to me unfortunately. Gane is too simple and overused. I saw some parts of what there was and like the ui was actually decent. So maybe try again with some cool ideas

And make the game actually wacky

You are making a game in the classic roblox style. maybe you need to add old animations and interface for realism, as well as engine mechanics something like Super Nostalgia Zone.
I think you will make a good game. Keep up the work!

Yeah, as I said in the post I will be adding new swords, like a fire or a fling sword to the game. Im just having to development hiccups with it,

(Edit): I’m also working on making the vibe more wacky/goofy.

The one thing I’m curious about is how are you going to make your game wacky, what are you planning on doing? Also I think some of your swords should be linked to classic roblox characters such as a glitched sword for John Doe or a ban hammer with builder man. I working on an idea similar to this creating a hacker version of guest 666 with a corresponding sword and ability’s, it’s still in early development though, wanted to try and improve my animation skills. I can show a picture if you want inspiration.
