Better approach to optimizing this build

So I correctly have this model

it has over 200 parts inside of it

When I opened the model and saw the amount of parts inside I was very surprised and was thinking of optimizing it, so I was wondering what the better option between these two is:

option 1. keep it how it is;
Currently the model has many parts because of this

as you can see the little dangling (I’m sure sure what it’ called) are all separate parts.

Option 2.
I was thinking of using the model at the top and making it bigger on the y size to make it so it feels in the space (and delete the parts that aren’t need) or like this:

as you can see I made the bulky looking parts just have a bigger y scaleto fill the space of the parts I deleted that where there before.

So which option is better for optimization?
FYI: Looks are secondary here

It depends on what you are gonna use this specific platform for, are you going to duplicate the entire thing 100s of times? if not it should be fine to leave it as is due to the fact roblox can handle hundreds of thousands of parts at once. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Some people might suggest using/learning blender to create what you are going for as you could reduce that entire model to 1 - 3 meshparts but it really is up to you, everyone has different ways of building/ optimizing. Good luck!

It’s duplicated only 7 times, that’s fine?
As for blender, really I should learnt it, but my PC can’t handle that lol

It’s more than fine I wouldn’t worry about it :smile:
