More of an open-ended request, as a developer I’ve found the DevEx system has a few key flaws, however primarily is the feedback on eligibility. Numerous times I’ve had my request denied for “Not Eligible” However this message actually covers a wide range of criteria some of which can be resolved, I’d like better feedback on precisely why our requests were denied.
In my case, I was deemed as “Not Eligible” because I had not completed IDology verification however upon completing it I was deemed eligible. To find this out I had to go through numerous days of waiting for e-mails which is a time-consuming process.
, for real: Roblox and partnered services actually do need to include an actual rejection reason so that we do not have to endure endure the pain of having to contact the support of several platforms in order to receive just a spec of reasoning behind the rejection. People who need DevEx to pay off bills or services will actually suffer as a result of not having full instruction.
Exactly, Roblox is my primary income stream and currently after a few months of not making any DevEx requests they are all suddenly being rejected for reasons of “Not Eligible”. Support is too slow to respond and this sort of delay can cause people some serious problems.
Congrats on unlocking exchange, I want to be where you’re at eventually. I think it would make more sense if they had a real-time transcript always letting us know when a DevEx infraction or invalidation from moderation occurred.
Exactly like checking your driving record and points on a DMV website!
Absolutely can vote my thumbs up on this. Took me 5 months to be able to devex, luckily I managed to get in after completing ID verification and talking with Roblox Support, however it took a heavy ton of emails.
It always lacked information, always said “Not eligible”, contacting support did make the issue clear but it just shows how troubling it can be.
This is a really good idea actually. More detailed messages should be left, if the information is available why do I have to contact support to receive it.
Dealing with this issue right now as we speak. I’m only wondering what could have made me not eligible, but instead, I have been told to wait 7-10 business days by Roblox for a response. All this is because I want to know what is keeping me from receiving my funds.
The issues are usually pretty small, my most recent one being that I had to submit evidence of the work that I had done to receive the payments, they will never reach out to you for this proof, you have to contact them (which is pretty irritating in itself). I had one when I was initially trying to set up my DevEx that they never provided me with an ID verification link, I had to contact them to get one. Don’t worry about it getting rejected as I’ve seen developers get moderated for all sorts of things and still have a 100% request success rate, as long as you operate to the best of your ability within the TOS you’ll be fine. 9 times out of 10 the “Not Eligible” message is just because they haven’t gotten something off of you and you have to contact them to be able to provide it.
Hope it all goes well, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Wait times at the moment are ridiculously long, I’ve seen people have to wait upwards of two weeks before they get a response (mine was about 6 business days), but as soon as you do things begin to move quicker.
