Blackjack & Poker on Roblox

Hello

I’m currently making a Western styled Action-Roleplay game and was planning on implementing poker and blackjack mini-games similar/identical to the ones in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Roblox’s Community Standards state “we prohibit both simulated and actual gambling activities on the platform. No real money, Robux, or in-experience items of value may be exchanged in connection with any gambling activities.”

I’m wondering if simulated/actual gambling activities include the use of ONLY in-game currency earned without being purchased with Robux or any other real currencies/items of value aswell?

I think that it would be allowed, but with some age restrictions. Since it doesn’t involve Real Money or Robux, it should be fine.

I believe that “In-Experience items of value” refers to in-experience items with a direct relationship to either Robux or real money.

Of course, I’d recommend doing a ton of research and maybe even emailing someone knowledgeable about it, but to me it seems like that shouldn’t be problematic, as long as it doesn’t have any ties to robux or real currencies.

Let me know, good luck!

Through lots of research I’ve came to the conclusion that, simulated gambling is allowed, BUT to some extent. It would most likely cause a game to be taken down unless it’s content maturity is set to Restricted (17+).

An example of this was a popular Texas hold 'em game which didn’t involve Robux or any another real currencies and wasn’t Restricted but was most likely taken down due to literal children playing it. However a notable game, Hotel Elephant, contains simulated blackjack and slot machine gambling and is still public, although this is probably due to the game being very old with very little active players.

I guess I’ll only include non-playable gambling with NPCs then.
(to be fair it would’ve been a nightmare to code a poker and blackjack system anyway lol)
