Blackout Theatre | Game Rules

Overview

In order to ensure all theatre guests and staff are aware of the appropriate conduct while being at the theater, the Blackout Theatre HR Team have devised and created the following rules in which all guests and staff are required to abide by.

All of Blackout’s rules will be displayed here. It is suggested that you know these rules, just in case something happens, but we do not expect you to memorize them all. Rules should be followed at most times (with few exceptions), however we are not too strict. We are try to keep away from banning people and rather educate you on what isn’t acceptable. We only ban users in extreme situations where we feel it is necessary - Most bans are appealable!

Section 1 // General Rules

  • §1.1 - Cursing, bullying, harassment or anything along those lines are against the rules. HR’s will decide what is and isn’t acceptable.
  • §1.2 - Please refrain from teleporting to high ranks. If you need us, send us a message!
  • §1.3 - It is against the rules to use commands on a large group of people, for example :bring all, :kill all.
  • §1.4 - While a HR is dealing with a situation, please don’t get involved. If you have something to say, please PM the HR who is dealing with it.
  • §1.5 - It is against the rules to have two or more accounts with a staff role within our game. If we suspect you are doing this, we will remove both accounts.
  • §1.6 - The :m command should only used by the host during plays.

Section 2 // Building & Stage

  • §2.1 - It is against the rules to go onto the stage during a show if you are not part of it - You should obtain permission from the host.
  • §2.2 - Booths can be used by any staff member, but it is against rules to take up two or more spaces. Please keep your building within your booth boundaries. If all booths are occupied, stylists have the priority over the booths.
  • §2.3 - If the host of the play asks you to leave the stage when it’s being set up, please do so, unless you have a valid reason (like building the set). If there are any problems, speak to a HR.
  • §2.4 - You should not touch the technical controls without a valid reason. Some things are permitted, for example changing the audience color because you think it looks cool. Please just use common sense.
  • §2.5 - It is strictly against the rules to exploit by removing sets or spamming blocks. We have building logs. There is no need for this, and will result in an instant ban - no warnings will be given.

Section 3 // Staff & Audience Interaction

  • §3.1 - All staff shall be required to have the upmost respect for all audience members. Failing to abide may result in a demotion from rank or other type of disciplinary action.
  • §3.2 - Likewise, all audience members shouldn’t troll or otherwise hinder the work flow of any staff member.
  • §3.3 - Staff members should not give audience members any food or tickets without the discretion of the audience member. (Ex: Giving random people food and filling up customers inventories with it)
  • §3.4 - Staff members are prohibited from giving access to staff only areas to audience members.
  • §3.5 - Staff members are prohibited from giving tools to audience members that are designed for staff only. (Ex: Giving building tools to audience members)

These rules may be exempted at the direction of an Administrator + with just reasoning

At the end of the day, use common sense. What you think is not allowed, probably isn’t, but you can always ask a HR for help.

Signed,

Blackout Theatre High Rank Team
