I would suggest having some sort of backlight for the guy on the right - perhaps a small blue reflection of moonlight - it seems very dark and lacking detail.
Check out this video by Corridor Digital on purposeful lighting.
Also, I noticed there’s a sort of laser pointer on the right guy’s left arm - is this suppose to be a pointer coming off the left guy’s gun, or from an enemy?
If from the left guy - perhaps draw a small line that aims in the direction of the left guy’s gun, the better indicate what the laser dot is.
EDIT - Just noticed the Raw image.
The blue light doesn’t seem to make sense. Remember you need to justify where the light is coming from.
The red could make sense as some sort of flair that is close by judging by it’s intensity on the left guy. But I can’t think what would be casting the blue light in the raw render.
Sure these are small details that will most likely be overlooked by the majority. But the eye picks up lots of tiny details we often don’t think about.
Thanks. I’m going to do a tutorial series on how to use Octane render with roblox soon so it should be interesting really and hopefully people can expand their knowledge with the software.
So on the left arm it’s meant to be a coloured circle light but as the arms got in the way a little. I just decided to keep it as a small signal beacon.
It’s also meant to be dark as you’re in a forest at night and your in a dead zone area with a deadly pathogen like virus and you have other people hunting you down.
I did add some blue light to make a two-tone effect so the red light was meant to be a rim light and the blue light as sort of a bounce light but because I’m using simple block models and not complex models, I couldn’t achieve the harsh shadow effect I was going for so I tried my best at that part.
So before I made this piece, I changed the settings on my ROG monitor to be the darkest possible light and I can still see it so no clue what you’re talking about lol.
