How would I go about blending these two objects?
One is a union with texture applied and one is a mesh part.

you could create a part and put a texture on it it with a gradient between the 2 colors
would it not be easier to have the grass layer of the waterside be a seperate part and then put a material variant on the mesh and union?
Export both parts and import it again.

why dont you make the grass a tiny litle green and the ground ether the same or just a litle darker for more blending
