Blender Build Issue

Note: Sorry if this is the wrong topic. This has to do with external software to roblox issues. If this is not the right topic, I’m truly sorry about that

Hello!

In blender, when I’m trying to upload a building from blender(which has an inside), the inside does not show. When I flip the normal, some things inside of the model also get affected by the flip ( see through ). Is there any solution to my issue, or am I stuck like this? screenshots will be provided below.

Original Model (Interior) (in blender)

Inside:

Original Model (Exterior)(In Blender)

Roblox Studio: model Flipped

Roblox Studio: model not flipped

And yes, I made this model just in case you were wondering.

What I want: I want it so that The models was able to be seen from the inside and the outside.

Can’t you use the two meshes in Roblox, (one for inside, one for outside)?
If that’s not what you’re going for, I don’t have much experience in blender, but you could copy the mesh in blender, flip the normals of the copy, then combine the two objects in blender as one.

Thanks, trying that right now. Ok So do I merge both unflipped and flipped together at the exact position?

I think that would be the way to go.

The solution offered above works visually, so long as collisions don’t matter for this asset.

Typically it’s better to not have the player attempt to move inside of mesh geometry, as the collisions are notoriously inaccurate.

It’s usually better to make the walls, floors, and other sections entirely separate much like how modular asset pipelines work. Though I’d need to know you’re specific use case in order to give the most accurate info.

Oh, so you want me to separately add the exterior (such as parts of the wall), and then put them back together? Okay then, I’m going to try that. Thanks for the tip.
