Blender how do i make cube transparent without making image transparent

im trying to model these swords but the cube is not transparent

Use the vertices option, where you only see vertices, hold z and select wireframe.

when i do that the image goes invisible

Hello, if you are in your blend file you can go to the “Add” button in the top left corner. You need to select the image button and then the reference button. Now you need to select the png of the image and press the “Load Reference Image”. Now you have a reference image that will be visible if you are in the wireframemode. I hope this will work.
