Hello, so a week or 2 ago I modeled a M-16 in Blender. This was my second thing that I successfully recreated in Blender without it being a disaster. It took me about 2 or 3 hours to model then another hour to figure out what thing to press to color it.
If I’m being honest, it looks very inaccurate to the gun itself. I suggest using a reference image in the blender save, and including smooth shading. Also, the muzzle looks very unnecessarily fat on the end.
I used a reference image but I agree the muzzle does it look dumb I’ll probably delete that and add a different thing.
Did you insert a reference image in the blender model itself?
No I inserted it before I modeled anything.
I’m assuming you’re trying to go for a low-poly kind of style, if so the gun looks decent. However, the tip of the gun isn’t accurate to the real thing, it kind of ruins the rest of the model. As @PunkKidXXII said, you might want to consider looking at reference images
Ok thanks, I’ll keep that in mind next time I go to make something in Blender.
