[Blender] Misc Low-Poly Assets... Rate?

I’d like to ask for some public opinion on the following ‘Outdoor’ Assets.

Personally the fence isn’t comparable to the rest,
But feedback on everything would be greatly appreciated!

I tried not to stress anyone with colors so everything is sort of dulled down.

Thanks!

I’d reduce the bright white neon glow of the lantern. Lanterns usually have a dull yellow candlelight.

Might be a good idea to have several tree meshes too. Two or three should do.

Overall, it looks great. Well done.

First of all they all look great! :+1:
Lantern should have more yellow light.
In my opinion the barrel should be closed but it looks gret this way too.
Rocks are perfect.
You should make several types of trees.
Everything is perfect.

After a quick glance I think all of these look really nice. Great job! I would suggest that you add one more rail to the fence because that is what I feel is missing. Two doesn’t look enough to me. Another slight bit of criticisms, I think the barrel is a little bit too fat in the middle. Apart from that I can’t think of anything else you need to improve on.

For the rocks,

Yes, they look simple to make but…
I subdivided them around 4 times then used the sculpt tool.

Which helped to deform them.

I’ll consider 3 rails.

The barrel might look fat in the image but In-Game it’s a bit more proportionally sized.

@Somnar
I’m working on a few more trees.
I was just showing some thing’s I’ve made.

Hmm, the yellow candle light might be a good idea… I wasn’t going for such a gloomy mood though.
I’ll try it out however.

These low poly flat shading models look good for a start into asset creation. I especially like the lamp post.

As for the trees, they look good in theory, but I’ve found that for Roblox games, you can get more variety with less mesh data cost by dividing your branches to be more modular and placing them onto your tree trunk in Studio. This way you can get more varieties of trees without creating new meshes for each different kind. This maximizes instancing to do all your heavy lifting and gives you infinite combinations of branches on any tree.

I actually never thought of that!

I’ll probably honestly use that method from now on.
It might be more time consuming, but no Repetitive trees for the most part.

5-6 Trunks
10-12 Branches
10 Leaves

Which would be thousands of combos.

Looking good. I approve these builds. Although the positive sides, there could be room for improvement such as the lamp post. You could remove the lamp and separate them both. In Roblox, you can apply a rope constraint to it instead of a static lamp.

Haha,
It’s like that in Roblox,

For an image I added chains cause it’s way more realistic but added 17k triangles :frowning:

Also ‘I approve these builds’ what’s that entail?
I didn’t steal them?

Anyways thanks!

It’s possible to separate one chain mesh and then create a chain out of it(or the whole chain as a separate).

By approve, I actually mean that I think they’re good in this context(guess who’s really messy with their vocabulary?).

It is a separate mesh just same color

But yeah your vocab is fine.

Looking good although the fence it seem’s like you should have increased the segments.
