That wasn’t it. Stupid me forgot to read the warnings and when I did read them I realized that my model name contained characters outside of what was allowed. Everything is working just fine now.
Bug that causes Studio to completely crash:
- Have your rig ready
- Click import animation, leaving the script editor open
- Close the plugin window
- Paste the animation code in the script editor
Removing Metaparts is impossible for me! I remove metaparts and then click I click export rig and then it spawns meta parts again, I’m being forced to upload with meta parts…
Hello! When using this plugin and trying to get IK working in blender the bones move all kinds of weirdly but if I have the left face of the part facing down towards the next bone and the front face, facing to the left on the arms, the IK works although I still have to manually connect the bones even though I built the rig with the connected option. Along with if I use the built in IK maker the ik still does not behave properly.BrokeIK|500x500
It doesn’t seem to crash for me, but the plugin should definitely clean up the script in that case, I’ve noted it for later, thanks.
They’re essential and must be exported as well.
You probably want to add a pole target bone. It’s typically best to manually set up the constraints yourself if you want fine control over how it behaves.
Come on! This is why shape-keys dont work. Is here any possibility to use shape-keys for a morphing effect? Pls, say me yes!
@Den_S, is here any chances that shape-keys will work? Else, are here any alternatives to it?
Roblox as an engine doesn’t support this, so the addon ignores all such things.
Ok, then is here any alternatives? Or do i need to make my own programm?
Roblox doesn’t support it, there are no alternatives. If you want an engine that supports it then use Unity or Unreal Engine 4. Those engines however don’t use lua for coding but rather C# and C++.
When I tried to export this rig there are no warnings in studio but I still get this error in blender
Is there a way to fix this?
See #66594 - Multiple add-ons with the same name found - blender - Blender Projects, something probably went wrong during a blender upgrade there.
The .obj file is probably broken, some parts in the rig may have NaN values in their transforms/sizes (guessing based on the error). Try exporting and importing your rig using the regular .obj exporter/importer of Roblox and Blender, it’ll likely fail too.
Hey
I’m getting this error every time I import a custom rig I modelled in Blender & imported into Roblox, back into Blender.
What does it mean? And how can I fix this?
Edit: Weird… when I opened a new Blender file it worked.
I find if I need to re-import a rig I always have to reopen blender or ctrl+N a general file
Is there a way to import a roblox animation into blender?
Thanks! Yea appears that solved the issue.
This plugin does not support that.
Hello! Forgive me if this has been asked before, but whenever I try to upload the animation on Roblox, there is a window prompt asking me to “log in” first. Although, it’s pretty clear that I have already logged in. Any help?
You may want to try to just RMB → Save to Roblox some parts (outside of this plugin). The plugin basically invokes that UI too, so if that refuses to work, something else is wrong with your Studio setup.
