Hello there, so i want to separate a part of an object i’m making but when i press separate selected it leaves some space in between (makes it something like unsolid, idk what this is called)
is there any way to separate selected vertices without leaving space like that?

select vertices on the part you separated it from, right click and press new edge/face from vertices
I use blender 2.79b, right clicking is for selecting verticles in there

From what @matejovec in 2.79 you should be able to press something like control + v to pull up the vertices menu?
You can play around between the vertices and faces menu, I think it’s probably in the vertice menu though.
i don’t know what to do in there

Well matejovec mentioned selecting your vertices then using “new edge/face from vertices”
There’s the ghetto method where you just duplicate the verts you want and then delete the faces that are connected.
