Blender Texture Import Trouble

The Building Support sub-category is intended for all development support relating to architecture on the Roblox platform. This includes questions ranging in difficulty from extremely basic to even the most technical of issues.

You may present your thread how you choose, but you are required to answer the following questions in your thread;

  • What are you attempting to achieve? (Keep it simple and clear): I have a file with a blender model of a character and also with the different textures that it needs, but whenever I open it in blender and in roblox, I only get the raw mesh without any of the textures or materials
  • What solutions have you tried so far? (Have you searched for solutions through the Roblox Wiki yet?): I have tried watching multiple tutorials on YouTube, but each of the ones that I have found were not very helpful.

These two folders are in a folder themselves. The “source” folder has the blender model and the “textures” folder has all the textures and materials.

are you trying to open a blender file in blender?
Does the mesh have no materials? or are you just not in material preview mode?

In blender, click on the ball with squares on it to see all the materials located in the top left corner just above the “Options” thingy.
For roblox, unfortunately I am pretty sure roblox doesn’t support multi-material meshes, the solution is to separate your character into different parts for each material.
