I’m extremely new to blender and modeling as a whole, I’m attempting to re-create the Generals sword from SAO’s Alfheim arc, I’ve already created it but my textures are bugged. I’d like to know what i’m doing wrong
My issue is the fact that i’ve created a texture map and baked my textures onto it, but I don’t seem to know how it works all too well. I import my map for the swords texture and it comes out bugged, here;s the map, blender image, and roblox studio image.
I’ve watched some tutorials on baking and even read up on some other posts with similar issues, after messing with the map settings and moving parts around so they don;t overlap I have no solution.
Just to confirm the model you are using in Studio has been freshly exported after you’ve made the UV map, right? I made a simple mistake like this a when I was a beginner. I made the UV mapping after I imported the mesh into Studio. I assumed the UV map would work on the first version, when in fact I just needed to export and import the mesh with the new UV map in order for it to work properly.
I don’t remember if I made a new export after baking it onto the UV Map, do I just need to export the new one after it’s baked and it will show up colored? Or do I need to add the UV Map to the newly exported one in Studio?
I just made a new sword and tested it out! Thank you very much, this was my first forum post so I wasn’t sure if I put it in the right place, big help I can now continue with my models!
