Hello all! As you all know, blender has “Fluid Physics” and it allows for… well… a fluid simulation! I was wondering if it was possible to somehow get that animation and import it into Roblox Studio. I’ve tried all my methods, yet been out of luck. Is there something I’m missing? Thank you all so much!!
In not sure, but I know how they make water in videogames, You need fluid animation? Right? I think you would have to find some scripts around the internet of how water in Roblox makes waves, then you will have to create a custom one, here’s how you do that: (on other developing engines)
Step 1: create the effective water
You will have e to create voxels (I don’t know how to do that sorry)
Step 2: adding textures
Method 1: put a texture that looks like water
Method 2: create effective waves going up and that kinda thing
Step 3: the foam is an effect activated like when a veche goes in water
Step 4: while the backdrop is simply a texture the sketches are simply sprites
Hope this helped, I’m not sure if this was what you were looking for, but this is what I know about creating water in videogames note, you will have to script everything, even the swimming part
You cannot directly simulate fluid in Roblox, but you can use the terrain editor to create water.
Oh you literally can’t? I didn’t know that, my reply was for how they create fluids in other engines, that’s all I know about fluids
Well, you can create them, but they won’t have fluid physics, in other words, waterfalls. You would need to use beams that aren’t really realistic.
Only the Roblox water has proper mesh deformations.
Ok, but it’s possible to creta yours or not?
It’s possible, but not necessarily the best simulation compared to other engines.
Ok, now I learned something about Roblox
