Why doesn’t blocking players block them from commenting on your game?
It should right?
It makes sense since you block them from sending friend requests and messages.
Yet it doesn’t block them from commenting on your game without you disabling game comments. o.O
On another note, this goes for not being able to block them from joining groups you own.
Blocking players doesn’t do squat in general. They can still downvote your games, comment on your games, communicate to you on your groups, they can still view your profile, heck they can simply just make a separate account and continue to harass you. Blocking players doesn’t do anything.
If a game dev blocks a player on Steam should they also be banned from reviewing a game?
Problem is if blocking a player is given too much power it can be used for suppression of negative feedback. Some devs on Steam already ban people for negative reviews.
Well that can be used for good or evil. I had a guy who would post awful comments on anything I made and make me feel horrible. He would also dislike everything too because he has a stigma towards better builders. I would have loved to block him from my comment section.
The reason I bring this up is because whenever I bring a friend or co-worker of mine to this game, they seemingly comment, “this community is toxic and blocking doesn’t do squat”.
Bullying is a big issue on Roblox and I wish we can improve that by doing these little steps.
We’ve already improved a lot by adding the features by /blocking -player- and disallowing players to join your current game that you’re playing. I think we can get more done too.
