BlockMesh's Scale and Offset are ignored by Lighting

The shadow of the part is cast as if the BlockMesh didn’t exist in the part.
This happens in any part that has a BlockMesh or SpecialMesh set to Block.
The bug is prevalent in Flood Escape 2 as the use case for the water system is that I use a part for the water’s region and use a BlockMesh to create the visible surface level of the water from that part.

A video is shown in the above tweet demonstrating the behaviour. The map was never that dark before.

I’ve been getting reports of this bug from players since yesterday

It’s a bug; we’ll make sure to fix it but the fix unfortunately can only ship next week.
