Jobs:

Full-Time Builder / Modeler

We’re looking for someone who can build in the same style as what we have currently for Blocksville. We need someone who can create multiple interiors as well as new unique building designs and layouts. If you’re applying you are also expected to work on other projects in the same group. Other qualifications for that will be discussed later when you’re in contact with us.

Payment:

  • 10 - 20% group revenue depending on activity needed - If we don’t need you for as much building, your percentage may be lower. Payment changes will always be discussed with you beforehand if changes are necessary. We will never change your pay without you knowing
  • 20K or more upfront if you decide to quit before our games become successful
GFX Artist

We’re looking for someone who can make us icons for various things such as badges, developer products, game-passes, UI Icons & more! We’re looking for an artist that can do 2D graphic design that is cartoony and highly polished. We may be looking for 3D graphic artists in the future, however we are not looking for 3D image assets at the moment.

Payment:

  • Commission based payout as agreed upon by your payment system. You decide the payment, we decide whether we think it’s a good price.

Introduction


What is Blocksville City?

Blocksville City is a Roblox game striving to revive the classic feel of early-era Roblox roleplay! This game is heavily inspired by “Robloxity”: a game created by @1dev3 on Roblox. I personally played Robloxity back in 2014 and I used to love it like crazy. Nowadays, roleplay games have been so complicated and there’s not enough attention paid towards the style of the map and its features. That’s what made Robloxity the amazing game it was when it was a hit.

Our goal is to bring back the nostalgia that Robloxity offered in its era, while bringing in new players who want something different as a roleplay game. We’re basically trying to achieve a modern-day Robloxity, almost like if Robloxity was made in today’s world

Also very important to us: the performance. We’re striving for a very performance friendly map; one where you can load the entire map on the lowest quality device without restrictions to your render distance (apart from Roblox’s graphic settings limiting how much you see on lower graphics). We work with a less-is-more strategy. Making sure we make use of all the detail necessary and limit unneeded detail to ensure as little lag as possible. We have a large map to work with, so custom performance enhancements are very much important to us as well.


That aside, here’s the important gameplay information for your inquiries:

  • This game is a large map with many locations to roleplay in. You can explore the many different areas and roleplay as the many things around the city.

  • You’ll be able to claim any job you’d like. These jobs will earn the player 1K per minute.

  • All jobs give the same fixed income, and all players get the income pays at once during each payout of cash. Jobs can even include things that are not meant to be jobs like: “Student”, or “Pet”. This is to match the feel of classic roleplay games

  • Vehicles will be a main mode of transport for all players. However when a player first joins, they will not have a vehicle unless they are in the “Icy Hot Interactive” group. However, if they have enough to buy their first vehicle, they can teleport to the car dealership building to buy a car, as long as their vehicle inventory is empty

  • We are also implementing homes and apartments. Ones similar to Robloxity. These houses will have the same purchase system as the cars. There’s also not as many homes as there are players to encourage players to want to merge with families. This may change in the future, but for now it’s like this. Apartments however, have a lot of units. 15 of them.

  • Character customizability is much like Robloxity used to be: the player can change their age, or if they want to be certain animals. Animals are in the works, but the age feature is fully implemented. Character faces are neutral by default but they can be changed.

  • Many, MANY gear is added into our game to enhance the roleplay experience. To keep the classic feel that Robloxity had, the gear is purchased around various spots of the map. There is no shop UI, you’ll have to explore to find certain gear. however there’s gear that’ll be in multiple locations to make it less of a hassle to find them. They usually situate themselves where you’d normally find the same things in real life (example: lawn mowers, wrenches, jack hammers, ladders would be at a home improvement store)

  • Many aspects of our map is interactable. Things as simple as a crane can be maneuvered by the player and objects like signs can be edited globally for all to see. Other things like playgrounds, furniture, appliances, and other objects are also interactable. Many more things like that are usable inside of the map. More will always be added in the future if not already thought of

  • There’s two types of teams that can battle and kill each other. There’s the offense (teams like prisoner, inmate, or criminal) and there’s the defense (teams like police, security, or guard) Offense will be able to battle defense but not other teams. Anyone who isn’t on one of the two types of teams is not at risk of having their character die. Exceptions for that are if the person wielding a weapon is in our Partner Program.

  • Servers will have a day of the week system, a daylight cycle and a weather system. During real life winter months (in the northern hemisphere), the map will become snowy instead of rainy

  • Badges are a big feature for our game! There’s many badges to achieve as well as 6 secret badges. Some of the secret badges may be very difficult to figure out
