Blood Sweat and Pixels - Update Log

0.1.0 Update Log (18th May 2024)


Our first content update for Blood Sweat and Pixels introduces 2 new items and 10 new cosmetics! These new items are using an altered system to our previous items which should both improve how well they work on high ping and on mobile. All previous items will gradually be updated to this new system over the next couple weeks.

Additions

New Items:

  • Swap Ray (Rare Special) - Charge up the Swap Ray to swap with other players and physics objects such as bombs!

  • Pummel Seed (Common Special) - Throw down up to 3 Pummel Seeds to create traps for your opponents to fall into!

New Cosmetics: (Releasing into the shop over the next week)

  • Pop The Sauce (MVP Animation, Awesome)

  • Warmup (Emote, Uncommon)

  • PBJT (Emote, Rare)

  • :3 (Icon, Common)

  • Normal (Icon, Uncommon)

  • Eyeball (Icon, Rare)

  • Baby Face (Sticker, Uncommon)

  • Manly (Sticker, Uncommon)

  • Demon Mode (Sticker, Uncommon)

  • Farmer Egg (Sticker, Rare)

Changes

  • ‘Revolver’ has been renamed to ‘Six Shooter’
  • Newly released cosmetics now have a ‘New’ tag in the shop
  • Thrown bins are now physics object and can be interacted with by certain items (eg: Swap Ray)
  • Thrown bombs Physics Object hitbox size has been increased
  • Thrown pets from the Pet Whistle now do 29 damage instead of 26

Bug Fixes

  • Bomb particle sometimes not cleaned up
  • Whistle UI meant to be red when commanding 0 pets
  • Statue on ‘Temporary Sandbox Toys’ cant be interacted with by items

Another small update mainly to fix an issue with datastore errors causing some servers to break. We also have added a donation board to the arcade if you would like to support us! Expect content updates soon.

Additions:

  • Donation board - Top donator has their currently equipped MVP animation play in the lobby across all servers!

Changes:

  • Playercards no longer have a few pixels of transparency around their icons
  • Super Shotgun does 7 damage per pellet instead of 9 (total max damage per shot is now 63)
  • LightDisc now does 17 damage instead of 22
  • Revolver now does 25 damage on body shots instead of 19

Bug Fixes:

  • Datastore errors will cause the game to break
  • LightDisc aiming is inaccurate
  • Mute button doesn’t mute all game music
  • End of a round gives unintentional amount of MVBs and Bits
  • Metal Munchers will cause the grabbed player to fall through the map if the user dies while grabbing
  • Metal Munchers kill the user if the grabbed player is killed while grabbing
  • Wheelie Bin wont be usable after breaking

Thank you all for your patience as we fix any standout bugs after release! This should hopefully be the last minor bug fixing update before we focus on bigger changes and additions to the game. We hear you about the problems with high ping and we are hard at work on fixing it.

Additions:

  • New Awesome Rarity Playercard icon ‘Mirage’ can be found in Gacha-Pods

Changes:

  • New Mobile controls for gun items
  • Re-sized top bar icons to fit alongside CoreGui
  • Clicking on shop page indicators now takes you to that page

Bug Fixes:

  • Respawning sometimes gets stuck on a black screen
  • Loading Screen will sometimes go on forever
  • Death Floor on maps don’t ignore player forcefields
  • Epic Sticker has wrong image
  • LightDisc/Gappling Hook/Rolling Soul/Spellbook don’t get cleaned up properly if certain conditions are met
  • Revolver and Sledgehammer wont allow you to change items while activated
  • Gun Recoil is affected by framerate
  • MVP Shop refresh times not synced correctly
