Appointment Guidance

Please refer to this guide for any essential information. We advise our staff members to be creative with the step procedures that best comfort their game experiences. We insist that you don’t feel pressured into using our formats as it is just an example that you may use.

Check-Up

[1] Ask these questions,

  • How often do you floss & brush your teeth?
  • When was your last dental appointment?
  • Is there anything I should know before I examine your teeth?

[2] Ask your Client to open their mouth and give it a proper examination.
Example: Open wide, please.
Example: “Examines teeth thoroughly.”

[3] If you find any of the following please let the Client know. If necessary, they will need one of the following appointments:

Reminders:

  • Cavity Filling/Crowns
  • Incoming Wisdom Teeth (Extraction would be helpful)
  • If they will need braces

[4] If everything looks good, let the client know then proceed to dismiss them.
Example: Everything looks great as of now, if you have any questions, or concerns please come back and visit us and we’ll check.

[5] Once you have concluded their check-up appointment, lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Cleaning

[1] Then ask your client what flavor Toothpaste they prefer as we offer a variety of flavors.
Example: What flavor toothpaste would you like? (Mint, Strawberry, Bubblegum)

[2] Ask your client to open their mouth for a thorough cleaning.
Example: Open wide, please.

[3] Rinse the client’s mouth and drain the water using the provided Dental tools.
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[4] Once they have responded with their choice of flavor, rub the paste onto their teeth and give it an easy brush. Once concluded, rinse and drain the excess water.
Example: “Applies paste, and brushes teeth.”
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[5] Once you have concluded with the cleaning appointment, lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Filling

[1] Ask your Client to open their mouth so you can numb their mouth.
Example: Open wide, please.

[2] Apply numbing cream/ointment around the tooth. Then ask the patient if their mouth is numb. If it’s not, then apply more cream/ointment.
Example: “Applies numbing cream/ointment.”

[3] Ask your Client to open their mouth then continue onto step 4.
Example: Is your mouth numb or should I apply more?

[4] Proceed to drill a hole into the cavity. Be sure to rinse and suction their mouth.
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[5] Prepare the filling to fill the cavity, then apply inside the tooth accordingly.
Example: “Preps Filling” then “Applies Filling Inside tooth.”

[6] Dry the filling completely by using the UV light, make sure that it’s secured.
Example: “Dries using UV light.”

Reminders:
1 - No hard Food(s) & Candy for a few hours.
2 - Drink lots of Water to stay hydrated.

[7] Once you have concluded with the filling appointment, lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Crown

[1] Ask your Client to open their mouth so you can numb their mouth.
Example: Open wide, please.

[2] Apply numbing cream/ointment around the tooth. Then ask the patient if their mouth is numb. If it’s not, then apply more cream/ointment.
Example: “Applies numbing cream/ointment”

[3] Rinse the client’s mouth and drain the water using the Dental tools.
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[4] Obtain the Dental mold, and mold it into the shape of the patient’s tooth.
Example: “Grabs the mold.” then "Applies mold onto teeth.”

[5] Have the patient bite down slowly and firmly to ensure the secureness of the crowning mold.
Example: Alright, bite down slowly.

[6] Review the mold and ensure it looks good.
Example: “Reviews mold to ensure it’s secure and looks good.”

[7] Check on the patient, let them know that’ll be the end of their appointment, and don’t forget to inform them with additional information.

Reminders:

  • No hard food(s) & candy for the next few hours.
  • Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

[8] Once you have concluded with the filling appointment, lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Root Canal

[1] Ask your Client to open their mouth so you can numb their mouth.
Example: Open wide, please.

[2] Apply numbing cream/ointment around the tooth. Then ask the patient if their mouth is numb. If it’s not, then apply more cream/ointment.
Example: “Applies numbing cream/ointment.”

[3] Drill a hole into the tooth slowly, then confirm the patient is alright.
Example: “Makes an incision into the tooth.” / “Removes the damaged pulp.”

[4] Rinse the client’s mouth and drain the water using the Dental tools.
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[5] Place the crown over the tooth.
Example: “Places crown on tooth.”

[6] Check on the patient, let them know that’ll be the end of their appointment, don’t forget to inform them with additional information.

Reminders:

  • No hard food(s) & candy for the next few hours.
  • Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
  • Come back in 1-6 months for an x-ray.

[7] Once you have concluded with the Root Canal appointment, lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Radiography

[1] Ask your client to follow you towards the X-Ray room for a proper examination.

[2] Place an LED vest onto the client to ensure their safety.
Example: “Places, LED-Vest on Dental Client”

[3] Ask the client to face towards the X-Ray machine, please state the information below:

  • No Speaking
  • No Moving

[4] Start the X-Ray Machine.
START THE MACHINE! (Click Interact)
STOP THE MACHINE! (Click Interact)

[5] Then you should use this time to look at the board and gather necessary information.

[6] Collect all information regarding the patient and inform them of their results.

Reminders:

  • Cavity Filling & or Crowns
  • Incoming Wisdom Teeth, so an Extraction would be helpful
  • If they’ll need Braces
  • They’ll be good, and have nothing on their results

[7] Lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Braces

[1] Firstly instruct your patient to follow you towards the X-Ray room and perform the X-Ray procedure (view radiography for more information.)

[2] Secondly, once concluded with the X-Ray, guide your patient then conduct a cleaning (view cleaning for more information).

[3] Once you have concluded the cleaning procedure, ask the patient what color bands they would prefer around the brackets:
Example: What color bands would you like?

[4] Inform your client to open their mouth so you can commence.
Example: Open wide, please.

[5] Proceed to place the mouth retractor onto the client’s mouth.
Example: “Place the retractor in the mouth.”

[6] Then apply the filling etching solution then rinse the mouth with water and drain using the provided suction tools.
Example: “Applies etching solution.”
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[7] Apply the gel-glue onto each tooth individually then place the brackets on top of the gel.
Example: “Applies the gel-glue solution.” then “Places the brackets on top.”

[8] Use the UV light tool to secure the brackets.
Example: “Uses UV light to ensure secureness on the teeth.”

[9] Get the wire tool and wrap it around the brackets and tighten slowly to endure little pain for the patient.
Example: “Wraps the wire around the bracket and tightens slowly.”

[10] Cut any extra wire off then apply the client’s requested bands.
Example: “Removes any extra wire.”

[11]Place the bands onto the bracket then continue.
Example: “Wraps (color) bands on brackets.”

[12] Check on the patient, let them know that’ll be the end of their appointment, don’t forget to inform them with additional information.

Reminders:

  • No hard food(s) & candy for the next few hours.
  • Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
  • Come back in 1-6 months for an x-ray.

[13] Once you have concluded the last part of the braces appointment, Please lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment. (click “done”).

Extraction

[1] Ask your client to open their mouth so you can numb their mouth.
Example: Open wide, please.

[2] Apply numbing cream/ointment around the tooth. Then ask the patient if their mouth is numb. If it’s not, then apply more cream/ointment.
Example: “Applies numbing cream.”

[3] Proceed to rinse the client’s mouth and drain the water using the Dental tools.
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[4] Loosen up the tooth, you can do this by moving the tooth with tools.
Example: “Loosens up the tooth.”

[5] Firmly grip and pull the tooth slowly with gentle force. This is to ensure that the tooth won’t be damaged.
Example: “Firmly grips around the tooth and removes the tooth.”

[6] Then you will have to rinse the client’s mouth and drain the water using the Dental tools.
Example: “Rinses and suctions water.”

[7] Then place a pad over the extraction hole to prevent anything from entering and causing an infection, or poking until healed.
Example: “Places soft-pad over extraction.”

[8] Make sure your patient is doing okay as that will be the end of their appointment, don’t forget to inform them with additional information.

Reminders:
1 - Only eat soft food on the other side of the extraction so the mouth can be adjusted.
2 - Drink lots of water for hydration.

[9] Please lead your client to the gift aisle, then end the appointment.
