Bones randomly hidden when switching between move/rotate in animation editor

Switching between move / rotate randomly causes bones to become hidden. They only reappear after you update one of the bones’ transforms (which is incredibly annoying because you can’t click on them on the viewport anymore). All plugins are disabled. Video shows the problem. This problem is making it very difficult to get any animation work done at the moment.
