We are looking into this and any issues related to outage or causes for concern for developers. We will update if we find any changes from Roblox has caused anything of concern.
Every time I see a new post with the words “Improved” and “Algorithm”, I just instantly know that my games’ ccu & revenue have dropped significantly. Most of my games have lost half their players and honestly I’m not surprised anymore.
We had an issue with a production launch calibration. Our engineering team found and fixed the issue around 9:30am Pacific time today (April 24th 2025). Thanks for flagging and your patience. All games and metrics should be recovered now.
These “we improve the algorithm posts” always make me extremely nervous…
And this game with metrics staying the same has lost around 20% of its daily active users about the same day as the crash. Ive seen games at the similar benchmark as it also lose like 30% of its players like “Kidnapper Story”. Just this week after the crash
Horrible updates lately to the algorithm IMO, my game’s monetization has almost died today. I only had 7 premium visitors after having over 200 yesterday! And somehow my gamepass sales went from 22 to 2 in just one day. My player count went slightly down, as did others. Thumbnail QPTR is going down suspiciously. Just disabled regional pricing anyway as it pretty much did not help at all.
Edit: I realized I had no sales for over 12 hours so it’s likely due to the outage, still though, I am waiting to see if the monetization goes back to normal tomorrow as the game won’t survive like this.
Ever since last year I’ve been hearing of new and improved changes to the algorithm and this seems to only apply to the very big games. Games should not be getting killed with these abrupt changes. This new recommended update also had a negative impact on my game around March 31 when it released.
