I intend on creating some type of distribution game, where you fight to make the best of some kind of product and distribute it to buyers in order to make more money and advance in the story.
How close can I get to the ‘‘Breaking Bad’’ story without breaking any of the terms of service? I’m well aware this concept is very, very dark for Roblox and it will be turned into a very fun, light-hearted game.
I’m just curious if Roblox will pick up on the idea of it and I will get terminated for it. Thank you and stay safe.
Well, it really depends on what the ‘product’ is, given that Breaking Bad is indeed a drug-centric plot. Anything that insinuates drugs won’t fly, either.
I don’t personally know if I see anything inspired by Breaking Bad being permissible on Roblox.
So, for example, if the product was ‘‘coffee’’ and it was being distributed to NPC’s which in turn makes money for the player to buy upgrades – this would still break the rules?
Well, I intend on having some of the vehicles from Breaking Bad. Such as the RV – which is a classic from the show. There might be name references, too. That’s why I was asking how close I can get by inputting little tiny details from the show, just enough for the more ‘‘mature’’ audience to understand what the Easter Egg is. Also, a note, somehow Roblox has allowed a Breaking Bad Superlab to be made and they haven’t terminated it, haha.
I think it’s fine if you want to have references from the show, but I just don’t think a game centric to the actual plot of Breaking Bad would ever fly on Roblox. I would love to see more pizzas on roofs in games.
As a rule of thumb, “others are doing it / they haven’t banned it yet” isn’t a good reason to do it yourself. If you’re worried about termination, I wouldn’t risk it.
Ahaha, the pizza scene always did make me laugh. So, what I am getting here is as long as it isn’t a game that’s centric to BB, with brief references, it should fly? And yes, I wasn’t implying that it was an excuse for me to do it – just that it is ironic someone was able to make it.

Yes, the difference between a lemonade stand and an illegal lemonade stand is the very fact that the latter is illegal, and that’s basically the core of this concept that prevents it from being okay on Roblox.
I can see it being fun to have the world of Breaking Bad entirely replaced with coffee or lemonade, but again it would have to omit the sense of being an illegal trade.
Okay but seriously, Breaking Bad is centered around drugs. I think if you created a game trying to be like the show while also following Roblox ToS, you wouldn’t get close to making it resemble Breaking Bad.
