I support the effort to make a modern brickbattle game. There isn’t quite enough in the video for me to make a full judgement but from what you do have it looks quite nice and like it could have a lot of potential, I especially like the more QoL features like showing the bomb’s countdown or the place where the wall will be built.
Looks really interesting, though the timebomb’s countdown time and the slingshot’s reload time are noticeably longer than the classic brickbattle versions. Just so that certain weapons don’t become obsolete, I’d suggest making the balancing as similar as possible to the original (this goes for the others as well).
I really like the idea of a modern doomspire, but would it have some of the original features such as bomb jumping?
Not modern enough, nor as simple as before.
Is the sword slash really innovated? Well you did add a short animation, but there’s so much more than you can consider.
Also, this stays very mobile/noob unfriendly since the lag would be significantly worse, and the weapons aren’t any easier to hit.
