Brickbattle Showdown [Feedback!]

Brickbattle Showdown is the first game @Aqualotl and I made for our studio, Silver Fin Studios. Essentially, it’s a compilation of a bunch of old Roblox levels, all updated and remastered to be up to date to current standards. A lot of these older games no longer work, and we wanted to provide players with the same fun experience a lot of us grew up with.

Gameplay
The design of the game is to be like you’re in a simulation.
The game is round-based so we are able to have multiple maps in a single game. It cycles through different game modes, such as Brickbattle, Team Brickbattle, CTF, Swords only, ect. Each round lasts for a couple of minutes, depending on the mode.


There’s a shop where you can purchase a 1-time use weapon to give you a slight advantage during each round. This ranges from swords to rockets to powerups.

Maps
The maps are a bunch of old maps. Each of them have been updated to have material, add more detail, and fix any broken scripts.

At the beginning of each round, the game lists the original creator of the map, along with the month and year it was created. We wanted to make sure the creator of the map gets full credit and it adds some history into the game.

Feedback

Game supports PC, phone, tablet, and Xbox.

We are looking for some feedback on the game. We released it about a week ago (which was pretty bad timing since I left for a vacation the next day), and it hasn’t picked up much attention. The ratings have been fairly mediocre as well, and with the lack of any form of system to receive user feedback, it’s difficult to figure out what exactly is wrong. I’ve seen at most 10 concurrent players at a time.

I put a lot of passion in this game, as these levels we pretty much my childhood. I wanted to see if it was possible to bring back this old gamemode and make it fun for the current generation of Roblox players. If there’s anything that you think can change, please let us know!

Game is nice so far.
Players with the same color make me think “Teams” but you manage to get slaughtered by the same color.
Weapon drops players can grab maybe?
The lobby would be something to work on.

There’s team matches and non-team matches. I’m assuming you must have played in a non-team match. The colors are just random. Would it be better if we specify somewhere the gamemode name? That way, you will clearly know if it’s a team match or a non-team match?

Depending on the map, there are “givers” randomly placed.
That’s a neat idea with weapons randomly falling though. I’ll put that on my list for future updates.

Feedback on this? What don’t you like about the lobby and what can we change? It was aimed to be fairly basic.

Have a UI at the top middle of the screen or something stating the match type.

Too dull try adding some testing grounds for players to test their skills before they enter maybe?
