Some players of my game have recently ran into an issue where all chat bubbles are appearing at 0,0,0 instead of on top of players heads like they should be. Something to note is that when they get close to it, they apparently become “…”.
Here are some visual aids:
It doesn’t seem to be happening to everyone but there are 15~ ish players in a bug report players have made for my game. This was first reported to us on the 11th of August and there has been no game update since then so some Roblox update close to that date likely started this.
Some notes:
-
My game positions chat bubbles through an attachment in each player’s HumanoidRootPart. This may or may not be related, I haven’t been able to replicate it.
-
Players report that they can solve it temporarily by reinstalling roblox and switching to the roblox player app. They say that if you join through the browser, it will break completely and they’ll need to reinstall again.
-
They also report that they have seen this happen in other experiences and games.
-
The players state that they are using a PC, Windows 11.
I’ve attached the usernames of some of the players that have reported this to the private content section.
