[BUG REPORT] Unable to connect to any game, client will not launch and will throw a 403 error in logs

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Go to any game page
  2. Click to play (or join any server in the server list)
  3. Client startup prompt opens
  4. The prompt closes immediatly
  5. Checking the logs reveal a 403 error: 2021-04-29T10:07:41.822Z,2.822373,2cd8,6 [FLog::Output] Authentication request failed. status code: 403, error message: HTTP 403 (Forbidden).

The issue started this day after a power outage (which caused my computer to reboot, ever since I haven’t been able to reconnect.

Things I have tried:

  • Reinstalling both client and studio (didn’t work)
  • Resetting (both soft and hard) my router (didn’t work)
  • Fully resetting my network settings on Windows (did not work as well)
  • Logging out and logging back in (did not yield any changes)
  • Logging into a different system (same issue)

Expected Behavior:

  1. Go to any game page
  2. Click to play (or join existing server)
  3. Client startup prompts opens up
  4. The client starts
  5. Game loads

Actual Behavior:

  1. Client loading prompt opens up then closes.
  2. While looking in the logs, these lines appear:
403 error in logs
