Bug with Humanoid's RunningNoPhysics state

If you rotate the character using Roblox Studio, it doesn’t realize that it has been rotated, and it will remain in the walking mode without tripping.

I don’t know if this can be replicated in a script, but it can be replicated in Studio:

I’ve had this happen before in game but I am not sure how it happened. I have done the same thing you did on studio before but I never put much thought in to it.
