Hi there, yesterday I have gotten access to the new main menu and I have noticed some small bugs, (they are not game breaking but can easily be fixed and probably should for better quality).
Bug 1
1. There is a size error when going to the Playerlist → Ask Friends to Join. The text “Friends” is too big and will split up:
Reproduction Steps:
- Go to “People” in the Main Menu
- Click “Ask Friends to Join”
Expected Behaviour:
It should be saying “Friends” in one line.
Actual Behaviour:
The word “Friends” is seperated.
Bug 2
2. I don’t know if this is a feature for the future but these share buttons do nothing at all when clicked:
Reproduction Steps:
- Go to the “Experience Tab” in the Main Menu
- Click “Share”
Expected Behaviour:
It should be sharing the experience.
Actual Behaviour:
Button does nothing.
Bug 3
3. While all the new quick buttons have little text appear below them explaining what they are, the video recording button does not have any text appear:
Reproduction Steps:
- Go to the new Main Menu and to the Quick Buttons (Top middle of the screen)
- Hover over the video button
Expected Behaviour:
It should be saying something like “Record”.
Actual Behaviour:
It says nothing.
(Example has me hover over screenshot, you can see it says “Screenshot”, then I hover over video which says nothing)
Bug 4
4. When hovering over one of the quick buttons and then clicking Esc the text will still stay on your screen:
Reproduction Steps:
- Hover your mouse over one of the quick buttons until the text appears
- Click Esc Button
Expected Behaviour:
The Text should disappear when closing the Main Menu
Actual Behaviour:
The Text stays even tho Main Menu is closed
Bug 5
5. The text font of “Search” and “Cancel” has a very low quality compared to the other texts (it looks sort of blurry compared to the rest):
Reproduction Step 1:
- Go to the Main Menu under Playerlist
- Click the Search Button
Reproduction Step 2:
- Go to the Main Menu under Playerlist
- Click “Ask Friends to Join”
- Click the Search Button
Expected Behaviour:
High Quality Text.
Actual Behaviour:
Low quality font / text.
Bug 6
6. When clicking “Report” you can see how the “Report Text Chat”-Symbol (Red Square) is very big and low quality, compared to the “Report Other”-Symbol (Blue Square) which is small and good quality:
Reproduction Steps:
- Go to the Main Menu and then click the Report Button
Expected Behaviour:
The Symbol of Text Chat should be smaller and higher quality
Actual Behaviour:
The two symbols are different sizes and the Text Chat one is lower quality.
Bug 7
7. When attempting to invite a user to your game, it invites the user below the user which you actually invited:
Reproduction Steps:
- Go to the Main Menu under Playerlist
- Click “Ask Friends to Join”
- Invite a Random friend
Expected Behaviour:
It should Invite the Friend that I clicked to Invite.
Actual Behaviour:
It invites the Friend that is below the friend invited.
And a little suggestion while you are at it:
Small Extra Suggestion
When opening the report section while being alone in a server it just is blank, instead it could say something like “No other users in your server”, just so that it isn’t blank.
That was all the bugs I could find so far, it would be nice if these could be fixed.
