NOTICE: This is a build order I am fulfilling for Koulu Juice Bar, and I’d like some feedback to make the exterior look better.
The person who asked me to construct this juice bar stated the following must be present in the build:
Tropical Themes
Orange and Lime Green Themes
Reflecting/Modern Themes
If you have any ideas for the exterior of the building I should add, such as windows, panes, textures or other pieces, please state down below! I’d like to make my first build order look the best possible. If you think I should add lighting to correct an already existing aspect of the exterior, please let me know too!
I will be constructing the interior once the exterior is completely sound and finished.
The image has been taken way too distantly from the building itself. When zoomed in, all I can really see are… well… pixels. You might want to take various screenshots of the building from closer angles.
Regarding the build itself, I think it’s great! The terrain could be better, as right now it’s a flat desert, but I’m going to happily assume that this is bound to change. The colouring seems good – citrusy and zesty much like I’d expect from a juice bar. Aside from terrain, my only real qualms with the place would be the dramatic, bright nature of the bloom effect and how it makes the place feel unrealistic, as if it was thrown under a spotlight.
Otherwise, you’ve nailed the whole modern element. There isn’t much that I can feel I can critique about it!
The exterior is beautiful, I love it! The only thing I would change is the color or material of the vertical sign that says Koulu. It needs to “pop out” a little more, if that makes sense. (Especially in the original picture, the first thing my eyes go to is the bright neon bricks. Otherwise, great job!
The letters seem to be a bit flawed;
I suggest you using the 3D letter plugin or try making it look better yourself.
It looks great besides that. (Can’t completely critique because the lighting is a little bright)
Amazing build! Thanks for sharing it on the forum. It sounds like you’re really passionate about your work and you want to give your consumers the best you can offer. So I definitely want to help you up your design, but its actually extremely well built. Anyway heres what I got,
Give it an aura of blue
You’re building executes the colors asked for really well while giving great sense to the theme of the tropics. However, I think this sense of the tropics is incomplete without a blue highlight. Your color scheme is great! I don’t think blue should fit on any solid parts of the exterior, instead I think it should surround the building somehow. Either add ocean or a river or a fountain around the entrance to achieve this. If you don’t want to play up a big setting, then experiment and tint the windows. The reason I think this would benefit you is because it will balance the bright hot colors you have and it will also complete your sense of the tropics. But more importantly it will outline and emphasize the color scheme you already have.
Looks wonderful so far, instantly recognised it as a tropical theme too which is what I know you are going for. I do however have one piece of feedback, I would tone down the glow around the juice bar as it is far too bright currently, you can see the glow especially on the more naturally brighter colours like the orange and white.
Here the pillars look more like a neon part than a nice white pillar.
Here the glow is far too reflecting off those lovely orange walls I can’t even see the extra details you’ve added to them!
Anyways, the build looks phenomenal so far, just tone down with the brightness and then those extra details will also show through!
The build I’m witnessing is very well, but I recommend you add an entrance to the cafe. Perhaps a pathway of bushes leading to the cafe door, surrounded by grass. The lighting is perfect, as well as the cafe. Please take this into consideration, and I hope to see more of your builds in the future. Thanks.
From my experience, this plugin has really helped a lot with my 3D text making. Only flaw with it is that it doesn’t position your letters, however that’s not hard to do.
