Salutations! I’ve decided to open up building commissions, and I request assistance on setting up a price point for my builds. I do not make exterior buildings, I currently only do interior, but possibly exterior soon. Any suggestions for prices will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
It depends on the interior builds you’re selling, the detail in them and time/effort put into them. I’m not sure what the build in your pictures are, maybe I can help if you can tell me. It looks pretty good though.
This looks great! I’d say this would be around 10k, as it’s clear you’ve put a lot of effort into it. Keep up the good work!
I mainly focus on furnishing, but if it requested, I will also divide the interior into rooms. I provide non-textured modern well-rounded furniture. For me, I focus on a fictional-ish concept and something pastel, but I will adjust to any theme my commissioners request. I do not make thin-detailed objects. Most of my furniture is thick and simple. I spend much effort into my builds especially for the rounded-shaped furniture. I make sure its smoothened out 100% and leaves out no gaps so it looks neat. The following screenshots I provided are from my dance studio I made which is themed as a hair salon. Took about 16+ hours I believe? I did not pay attention to the time while constructing my dance studio, so sorry about that!
Wow! 10k? Really surprising for me but I’ll take your word for it! Thank you.
Very good use of Low Poly building, You have even Detailed the place as shown in the Screenshots, I would give a price of 8k - 12k Robux for this building type, Also if I were you, I would charge more for the Detailing. Anyways, Good luck on your projects and Keep up the good work!
I would probably sell it for 5-10k. Keep negotiating with people until you find a buyer in that range. For this particular build.
Really nice build! Lots of color! I think you could sell this from 10-12k.
Thank you! I’ll think about the detail payment!
Sounds pretty good! Thank you!
I always price my work based off of the amount of time I spent on it. Just have a constant hourly rate and then you’ll be fine.
Great idea! I’ll for sure look into it.
Um, when I did do commissions for maps. My prices started from 50k ranging upwards depending on complicity. If you are only looking to make interior builds, I am not sure what you could sell it for. Maybe work on your skills and return to the market when you are more experienced and versatile to adapt to your customers’ needs.
From my knowledge and experience, it’s well based around 10k. It’s what todays people want bright, colourful and cartoonish. Well made!
Glad to know people are attracted to these things today! Thanks for suggesting!
I’ll for sure keep on practicing my work. I’ve been planning to make exterior builds as well with this at some point. Thank you!
I think some people are high balling it here, then again, what do I know about the price ranges of that particular build type.
Personally speaking, a insistent buyer would place at maximum 6k.
As somebody who is very familiar with commissions, there is never a “set-price” per say.
It honestly depends on the project size, the assets you are creating, and the time constraint they are working you under. Some additional questions to ask:
Are you making all the assets from scratch or do they have some pre-made?
Are they requesting an excessive amount of complicated meshes and terrain?
Do they also want you to be able to script any of the elements?
Are you creating graphic design for machines, signs, ect.
What style are you building in? (Ultra detailed, cartoony, low poly?)
There are a ton of variables that go into determining price. Ultimately it’s an art of finding a price you feel comfortable taking, and one that a buyer is willing to pay.
Best of luck on your future ventures!
Well, the first question is will your prices be depended on certain scenarios or a general price for all.
Another thing to take into consideration is points that’ll increase or decrease the price.
Look at it this way:
-
An interior one-story house with minor detailing, and minimal design.
Could be $5-$10 -
Am interior one-story house with major detailing and photo-realistic design.
Could be $15-$20
So at the end of the day, I like to price builds with certain categories that most customers typically ask about.
Nice interior decoration, I see a clear theme you are trying to achieve which is nice. If you would want to improve on anything I would suggest making the multiple aspects/areas bind more together with one another. As for the price everything is dependent on finding the right buyer but if everything is custom made around 1,500 a room would be a good starting point.
