Building stairs in roblox

I’m a programmer who’s rarely ever dabbled into building but, Jesus Christ, I didn’t expect building good-looking stairs to be so difficult.

So could any builders deign to share some of that esoteric knowledge required to build staircases?
Like how the hell do people do stuff like this where each step is an equal distance from the top of the side wall thingy?

Hell, even I learned something new today. I never considered using a normal part for that. I’ve always tried to align it with a wedge.
