Roblox’s like that one uncle that gives you Christmas gifts 3 months too late. Another amazing update! Keep it up!!
At first, the Zoom to Mouse Position really disoriented me so I turned it off. But the Camera Pan is a great feature.
I thought this was a bug at first, But I like the update.
Amazing update, though I am having one issue I’m not sure if it’s personal and it’s my system or the same happens for everyone
during panning the mouse icon stutters, and the faster you go the greater the stutter
though it is a minor issue, it still bothers me as it looks choppy anyone else experiencing this?
This is a really great addition!
There are things you could improve:
Make the icon a little smaller, currently it kinda feels weird with my cursor size to something that looks bigger than my current cursor. It probably is just on my end.
The cursor itself also feels choppy when panning as it flickers a bit trying to keep up with the camera. The panning itself however feels nice.
You could also remove the cursor entirely if that is an option, like the one presented on your gif example. Most programs such as blender don’t really rely on having different cursors to show what the player is doing. This is probably because the player is aware of what input they are pressing or touching.
Could you also include an option to invert the pan direction on the horizontal and vertical movement? Some users prefer to move the mouse left to pan the camera going left.
I’d like an option to disable camera panning and ideally the ability to uninvert the camera controls added, I’ve never been a massive fan of left going right and vice versa.
I had the same issue
So far I know there are no methods for panning using a trackpad only. It would be great if you could include support for panning that doesn’t need a middle mouse button as I always build without one.
I noticed that whenever you pan and hold the right mouse button, (I do this without thinking when moving the camera) when you let go of it while panning, it stops panning but still has the icon. I don’t know if this is a bug, but other than that, These were very needed features!
GREAT JOB WITH THE PANNING. That’s a great sign!
Tried this feature out yesterday, very useful for zooming into specific objects in the workspace
The panning looks wonderful! Great updates to the camera!
It certainly looks like a Christmas-y update, but I’m not so sure I’m going to use this (often). Half my time is spent staring at a giant window of text, not at the 3D View. Either way, I’ll give a try in the off chance that I suddenly see myself needing to spend more time looking at the Workspace over the Script Editor.
This seems like a really great needed feature, have not been on studio today to see anything different.
I think this has been an issue for ages, it’s more noticeable with the panning cursor now. Hopefully it gets fixed soon
If you scroll forwards/backwards and middle click to pan you’ll start too zoom out/in while panning.
Good updates, though I was annoyed at first because my camera wasn’t going where I was expecting due to the zoom to mouse thing.
Panning is also a good update, but it really should be uninverted in my opinion.
Today we released a change to make the panning feel more natural. Dragging the camera is now based on the point you grab in 3D space.

Thank you @Subcritical_alt for making this change
having zoom to mouse position sucked i tried it for 2 weeks and not once did i prefer it
however i’m thankful for the changes lots of these were needed options
I love the camera panning feature and the changes made to it today but I found the zoom to mouse feature very hard to get used to so I disabled it. Thank you for another awesome update!
