Camera pan is extreemly slow in studio

This problem occoured on the latest update. I found out the pan speed is relative to windows pointer speed. Since I use high DPI settings on mouse, I keep the pointer speed low, so this is quite frustrating issue.

I guess this problem occoured because of the new camera speed settings.

It would be nice to get this fixed soon…
I REALLY don’t need the studio to stop me from working when I already have problems motivating myself

Just opened Studio to fix some bugs, then this happens. It┬┤s annoying :frowning:

I have this problem and I have a custom DPI setting and a low windows sensitivity setting as well.

This is exactly the opposite of the player’s issue, where the camera pan speed is insanely fast and I have to switch to a much lower DPI setting to play.

Thanks, we’ll take a look at it.

can confirm this is happening. I thought maybe it had something strange to do with right click at first, but I dont think it was the case at all seeing as how going first person then panning had the same issue.

Ruined my plans for a bit of map work today that’s for sure.

Hurry and get this patched soon! Thanks

So are you all asking that the pan speed when right click dragging not be relative to the cursor speed?

Also could you give specific instructions to reproducing the kind of environment where this happens? What settings in Control Panel should I be setting?

Pretty much that. Why exactly roblox isn’t using hardware mouse input?

Also, this is why the mouse is slow:

Holy crap, this bug is 500% annoying. Same problem as everyone else, and I can also confirm that this happens with or without HardwareMouse setting in Studio.

I don’t believe the problem is solved nor affected by mouse settings for me (I use a high-DPI Razor Orochi mouse).

Can someone please fix this soon? I assumed that it was an accident, and would be fixed very soon after, but it’s been a couple days now, and I still can’t work on my game. This is extremely annoying. Can’t you just find the part that you broke and revert it or something?

I believe whole problem is in DPI. If you turn up windows pointer sensitivity, roblox will be fine, but outside it, pointer will be waaaay too fast because of high DPI.

Same as everything above. I’d say something useful but I don’t really know why it happens.

Same problem here, I can’t work because the camera turns so slowly.

Thought my brain was just looking for a bug when they updated and placebo effect told me the camera was different.

Turns out: it is different

Is it me or it goes like x2 faster in online mode. Maybe it’s the effect from extremely slow to normal but I doubt it.

Anyway please fix that soon, I can’t build anything (and I was actually motivated for once) with a slow camera like this.

Sorry about the delayed response everyone.

We’ve identified the problem and will have a fix that hopefully goes live around 7 pm PST. Please try a bit after this time and see if the camera is any better. Thanks!

Aw. I just started getting used to it, lol.
You guys should add a camera sensitivity property.

The camera pan speed is fixed, however my mouse still “jiggles” and sometimes jumps. The following gif doesn’t do it justice (because the framerate is so slow), but you should get the idea:

I’ve talked to some other ROBLOX developers about it, and they don’t seem to have this problem. However, this problem did not occur before the mouse bug, so I assume that it’s related.

I’ve actually experienced this on my computer for quite some time. I don’t normally work on studio so I can’t say why that occurs, but I do know we are constantly setting your mouse position as you rotate the camera, but it seems maybe the QT API is a bit slow on the draw compared to Windows mouse updating… not sure why.
